A Crispy Games Project

A Crispy Games Project

Project Overview

INTRODUCTION

Hello, everyone!

Welcome to the official casting page for Crispy Games, an independent game studio focused on creating original, memorable games built around strong concepts, unusual gameplay ideas, comedy, and worlds that immediately stand out.

We are currently developing multiple original games and are beginning to expand the team by bringing in talented artists, composers, voice actors, editors, 3D modelers, and other creatives who can help bring these projects to life.

Some roles posted here may be for a specific project, while others may lead to opportunities to work with Crispy Games on additional projects in the future.

We are not looking to build games that feel like copies of everything else currently available. Each Crispy Games project is intended to have its own identity, art direction, gameplay hook, tone, and world.

Our goal is simple: make games that people see and immediately want to know more about.

ABOUT CRISPY GAMES

Crispy Games is an independent game studio developing original games for PC, with a strong focus on Steam releases.

Our projects range from strange comedic games to cooperative experiences, stylized fantasy worlds, experimental concepts, and more ambitious narrative projects.

While the games themselves can be completely different from one another, there are a few things we want every Crispy Games project to have:

  • A strong and immediately understandable concept

  • A memorable visual identity

  • Gameplay that gives players stories to tell afterward

  • Humor and personality where appropriate

  • Interesting worlds and characters

  • Mechanics that make the game stand apart from similar titles

  • A high level of polish despite being created by an independent team

We are building Crispy Games with the long-term goal of creating a recognizable studio with multiple original IPs rather than developing a single game and disappearing afterward.

CURRENT PROJECTS

One of our current projects is Post-Human Postal Service, a colorful sci-fi game about operating an orbital post office and processing increasingly strange packages for customers across the galaxy.

Players use bizarre machinery to modify packages before shipment, dealing with unusual customer requests, changing regulations, upgrades, and the general chaos of working for an interplanetary shipping corporation.

Another project currently in development is THE GIANT IS SLEEPING, a stylized fantasy project built around an unusual sense of scale and a very different gameplay experience.

Additional Crispy Games projects are also in various stages of concept development, prototyping, and production.

Because each game has its own world and identity, the artists and creators we work with may have opportunities to contribute to projects with completely different visual styles and creative challenges.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Crispy Games is still an independent and growing studio, which means collaboration is extremely important to us.

We want the people working on our games to understand what they are creating, why it matters to the project, and how their work fits into the larger vision.

Depending on the role, you may receive:

  • Written descriptions and references

  • Concept images and visual references

  • Gameplay footage

  • Game design documentation

  • Character or environment descriptions

  • Existing assets from the project

  • Feedback and revision notes

  • Direct communication regarding the intended direction of the work

We would much rather clearly communicate what we are looking for than hand someone a vague description and expect them to guess.

At the same time, we enjoy working with creative people and are always open to someone bringing an idea to the table that makes the final result better.

Most communication will take place online, primarily through Discord.

WHAT WE ASK OF YOU

First and foremost, we want people who genuinely care about the work they create.

You do not need to have worked at a AAA studio or have ten years of professional experience. A strong portfolio, creativity, reliability, communication, and genuine enthusiasm for games can matter much more to us than a long résumé.

Depending on the position, we ask that applicants:

  • Provide examples of previous work when possible

  • Communicate clearly if questions or problems arise

  • Be receptive to feedback and revisions

  • Meet agreed-upon deadlines or communicate early if circumstances change

  • Be willing to collaborate rather than simply complete an assignment without discussion

  • Deliver original work that you have the right to provide

  • Be comfortable having your work appear publicly as part of a commercial video game

  • Take pride in creating something players may eventually see, hear, or interact with

We understand that creative work takes time, and we want communication to go both ways. If something does not make sense, we would rather you ask than spend hours working in the wrong direction.

WORKING WITH CRISPY GAMES

We want to build relationships with talented people rather than constantly starting over with a completely new team for every project.

Someone initially brought onto one game may be invited back for another project if the collaboration goes well.

As Crispy Games grows, we want to develop a network of artists, developers, musicians, voice actors, designers, editors, and other creators that we know we can trust and enjoy working with.

That means even if you are applying for one relatively small role today, there may be opportunities for additional work as our current games progress and new projects enter development.

WHO ARE WE?

Crispy Games is an independent game studio built around one idea:

Make games people remember.

We like weird ideas.

We like games that are easy to explain but difficult to compare to anything else.

We like comedy, experimentation, strong art direction, satisfying gameplay, and concepts that make someone stop scrolling and say, “Wait, what is this?”

We are still growing, and there is a lot ahead of us, but that is also what makes this an exciting time to get involved.

If one of our projects or open roles interests you, we would love to see what you can do.

Welcome to Crispy Games.

Paid: Flat Rate 50 USD

We are looking for a talented 2D artist/designer to create promotional artwork and visual branding for our indie game, Post-Human Postal Service.

This role will focus on the artwork players see outside of the game rather than in-game assets. We are looking for someone who can help establish a strong, recognizable visual identity for the game and create polished artwork that makes the project stand out.

Artwork may include:

  • Steam capsule artwork in multiple required sizes

  • Steam store page promotional artwork

  • Main game logo and logo variations

  • Key art / cover artwork

  • Promotional banners and headers

  • Social media graphics

  • Kickstarter or crowdfunding artwork

  • Trailer thumbnails

  • Announcement graphics

  • Other marketing artwork as development continues

Post-Human Postal Service is a colorful, comedic sci-fi game set inside an orbital post office where players process increasingly strange packages for customers across the galaxy. Packages may need to be frozen, shrunk, enlarged, recolored, cleaned, electrified, mutated, or otherwise modified before they can be shipped.

The game's visual identity should feel colorful, strange, cartoony, sci-fi, comedic, and immediately recognizable, with artwork that communicates the personality of the game at a glance.

We are especially interested in artists who are comfortable creating expressive characters, strange alien objects, exaggerated sci-fi environments, bold compositions, and artwork designed specifically to attract attention on platforms such as Steam.

Experience creating Steam capsule art, indie game key art, logos, or promotional artwork is a major plus.

When applying, please include examples of your previous artwork or portfolio, especially any game artwork, key art, character illustrations, logos, or promotional designs.

Paid: Flat Rate 50 USD

We are looking for a talented game trailer editor / cinematic trailer creator to create the official trailer for our indie game, Post-Human Postal Service.

The goal is to create a polished, exciting, funny, professional-quality trailer that can be used for:

  • Steam

  • Social media

  • YouTube

  • Game announcements

  • Demo promotion

  • Kickstarter / crowdfunding

  • Publisher and investor pitches

  • Future festivals and promotional events

Post-Human Postal Service is a colorful, comedic sci-fi game where the player works inside an orbital post office processing bizarre packages for customers across the galaxy. Players must use strange machines to modify packages — shrinking them, freezing them, enlarging them, recoloring them, electrifying them, cleaning them, and performing other increasingly ridiculous procedures before shipping them to their destination.

We want the trailer to immediately communicate what makes the game fun, strange, and memorable.

The ideal person understands how to turn raw gameplay into a trailer with strong pacing, comedic timing, music, sound design, transitions, text/title cards, and a clear beginning, middle, and ending.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Editing raw gameplay footage into a professional game trailer

  • Selecting the strongest and funniest gameplay moments

  • Creating strong pacing and trailer structure

  • Adding music and sound effects

  • Adding text, titles, transitions, and motion graphics

  • Integrating the game logo and branding

  • Creating cinematic moments from gameplay where appropriate

  • Helping determine which gameplay shots should be recorded

  • Potentially capturing additional gameplay footage if needed

  • Color correction and general visual polish

  • Creating versions suitable for Steam, YouTube, and social media

  • Creating shorter cuts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar platforms if needed

  • Delivering the completed trailer in high-quality formats ready for publishing

We are looking for someone who understands that a great game trailer should not simply show random gameplay clips. It should sell the experience of the game, quickly establish the premise, showcase the most interesting mechanics, demonstrate the game's personality and humor, and leave viewers wanting to play it.

Experience creating trailers for indie games, Steam releases, comedic games, or stylized games is strongly preferred.

Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Unreal Engine, Unity, Blender, or similar tools is a plus depending on the artist's workflow.

When applying, please include a portfolio or examples of previous trailers, gameplay edits, cinematic videos, advertisements, or other relevant video work.

Indie Game Composer / Music Producer

Paid: Flat Rate 50 USD

We are looking for a talented composer / music producer to create original music for our indie game, Post-Human Postal Service.

The game is a colorful, comedic sci-fi experience set inside an orbital post office where the player processes increasingly bizarre packages for customers across the galaxy.

We want the soundtrack to help establish a recognizable identity for the game and support its strange, funny, slightly chaotic sci-fi atmosphere.

Music may include:

  • Main menu / title theme

  • General post office gameplay music

  • Busier or more chaotic gameplay variations

  • Shop / upgrade music

  • Tutorial or introductory music

  • Short stingers and jingles

  • Corporate-style music for the fictional Post-Human Postal Service

  • Trailer or promotional music

  • Additional tracks as development continues

The ideal composer can create music that feels playful, futuristic, quirky, energetic, and memorable without becoming distracting during gameplay.

We are especially interested in someone who can blend sci-fi sounds, electronic elements, unusual instruments, corporate-style jingles, and comedic musical ideas while still producing a polished soundtrack.

Experience composing music for indie games, comedy games, sci-fi projects, or interactive media is a major plus.

Experience creating seamless gameplay loops, alternate intensity versions, stems, and music that can transition dynamically during gameplay is also valuable.

When applying, please include examples of previous music, preferably game soundtracks, sci-fi music, electronic music, comedic tracks, or other relevant work.

Walkie Talkie Voice

Walkie Talkie Voice

Paid: Flat Rate 50 USD
Role assigned to: The Real Elvis VA

The intercom voice is the player’s unseen corporate supervisor: calm, articulate, dry, and unsettlingly cheerful. They speak with absolute confidence, treating dangerous cargo, employee debt, illegal shipments, and terrible working conditions as ordinary company procedure.

The performance should feel controlled rather than loud or cartoonish. Humor comes from perfect timing, subtle judgment, and complete emotional detachment. They occasionally sound amused by the player’s mistakes, but never openly cruel—the company’s policies are simply normal to them.

Voice direction: professional corporate announcer mixed with a quietly condescending narrator. Warm enough to be entertaining, authoritative enough to feel like the boss, and slightly sinister beneath the politeness. Think dry workplace satire rather than an exaggerated villain.

Language:
  • english

  • Welcome to Post-Human Postal Service, the proud backbone of interplanetary commerce, and several interplanetary mistakes.

  • Fortunately, your employment contract includes permanent on-site accommodation and an automatic repayment program.

  • Process Failed. Please continue embrassing yourself productively.

Former Employee / Unknown Caller
Voice Actor Voice Actor
Former Employee / Unknown Caller
closed
Paid: Flat Rate 50 USD
Role assigned to: AustinM_VA

A former employee who secretly contacts the player through an old telephone. They understand how the company traps its workers and know that the abandoned courier pod could provide a way off the station.

This character is the player’s only genuine source of help, but they should not sound like a dramatic resistance leader. They are cautious, exhausted, intelligent, and familiar with the company’s absurd systems. Their humor is understated and comes from years of accepting horrifying corporate practices as normal.

The performance should feel private and slightly paranoid, as though the character is worried the call may be monitored. Early calls should be restrained and guarded. As the player repairs the pod, the caller becomes more hopeful and personally invested.

Voice characteristics:

  • Adult voice

  • Any gender

  • Grounded and believable

  • Tired but not weak

  • Dry sense of humor

  • Quiet urgency

  • Emotionally restrained

  • Should not sound theatrical or overly mysterious

  • “Don’t bother speaking. The station records outgoing speech more reliably than it records maintenance requests.”

  • “There is no scheduled return shuttle. Repair the pod, keep your head down, and do not let the intercom know why.”

  • “Do not wait for approval. Approval is the part of the contract that never arrives.”

Corporate Support System
Voice Actor Voice Actor
Corporate Support System
closed
Paid: Flat Rate 20 USD
Role assigned to: fuminsh0u

An automated employee-support system operated by Post-Human Postal Service. It occasionally calls the player without being requested and delivers useless information, new fees, morale surveys, and deliberately unhelpful updates.

The voice should sound warm, polished, and professionally reassuring while delivering deeply unsettling information. It should never acknowledge that anything it says is strange or cruel.

The humor depends on total sincerity. The performance should not sound openly sarcastic, evil, or amused. Every ridiculous statement is presented as an ordinary and helpful corporate service.

The actor can record the lines with or without adding a permanent robotic filter.

Voice characteristics:

  • Adult voice

  • Any gender

  • Smooth and highly polished

  • Artificially cheerful

  • Consistent pacing

  • Emotionally detached

  • Corporate training-video energy

  • No sarcasm or obvious menace

Voice description:
  • female adult
  • female young adult
  • “Thank you for contacting Post-Human Postal Service Employee Support. You did not contact us, but your account was randomly selected for support.”

  • “Your return transportation request is currently number eight million, four hundred forty-one thousand and two in the queue.”

  • “Please remain on the line. Remaining is mandatory.”

Regional Compliance Agent
Voice Actor Voice Actor
Regional Compliance Agent
closed
Paid: Flat Rate 10 USD
Role assigned to: Jack Rendon

A representative of the regional cargo-compliance division. This character contacts the station regarding forbidden cargo, inspections, regulatory violations, and incinerator procedures.

Unlike the Corporate Support System, this role should sound human. The agent is cold, formal, precise, and completely desensitized to unethical company policy. They may personally enjoy enforcing regulations, but that enjoyment should remain subtle.

The performance should feel like a government inspector or corporate auditor who has repeated these warnings thousands of times. They speak clearly and deliberately, with little patience for explanations.

Voice characteristics:

  • Adult voice

  • Any gender

  • Formal and authoritative

  • Controlled and unemotional

  • Slightly intimidating

  • Bureaucratic delivery

  • Precise pronunciation

  • Subtle contempt, never exaggerated

  • “A compliance inspection may occur without warning. This message does not legally constitute a warning.”

  • “Your branch has failed inspection. A penalty has been recommended, approved, and emotionally enjoyed.”

  • “Do not incinerate the inspector.”

Recurring Wrong-Number Caller
Voice Actor Voice Actor
Recurring Wrong-Number Caller
closed
Paid: Flat Rate 20 USD
Role assigned to: Josh

A strange alien or civilian who repeatedly calls the postal station while attempting to reach unrelated businesses and people.

The caller should sound casual and completely sincere. They are never embarrassed about reaching the wrong number and may not fully understand why the player cannot help them. Their logic is strange but internally consistent.

This is a comedy role, but the actor should avoid performing it like a loud cartoon character. The humor should come from confident delivery, unusual concerns, and perfectly normal reactions to impossible situations.

The same actor can use slight variations in delivery for different calls, but the character should remain recognizable as the same recurring caller.

Voice characteristics:

  • Adult voice

  • Any gender

  • Distinctive but understandable

  • Casual and confident

  • Mildly confused

  • Strange without becoming incomprehensible

  • Natural comedic timing

  • Deadpan delivery preferred

  • “Hello? Is this Orbital Dental? No? Then who has my teeth?”

  • “My package arrived yesterday, but I do not order it until tomorrow.”

  • “Please ask the moon outside your window to stop following me. It knows what it did.”
