Creation: A Cretaceous Saga (Episode 1)
Project Overview
Creation is set in the Late Cretaceous period and follows a Raptor family as they attempt to find a home and keep their cultures and traditions alive in an ever-changing world on the precipice of extinction.
The pilot episode follows Kraw, a young hunter in the family, as he goes to hunt an herbivore to feed his kin, despite the difficulties he faces of killing a creature that speaks and lives as he does.
The storyline is inspired by epic tales seen in The Lord of the Rings or Avatar alongside dramatic series such as Better Call Saul, The Sopranos, and Lost.

But you can’t! You can’t hunt! It needs to be me… Lehma could have died, and it was because of me! I need to do this, grandma; otherwise… all that happened, all of this… it would be for nothing.

You look Bright. That’s why I ask… Where do you keep a lifestone if you’re so small? Are there really little stones for things like you or do you all share a large one? You like to stay in one place? I wish I could. I want a home…
Supporting Main Character: Yorel is a former tribal leader now living amongst her grandchildren in exile. Gruff, but with a heart, Yorel suffers from an old battle injury that leaves her incapable of traversing vast distances. Her greatest fear is being seen as useless, and her struggles mostly revolve around overcoming that opinion of her.

No. I won’t lie to you. A youngling can only go four cycles without proper nourishment, and Lehma’s already gone three. And that’s before we consider our own states.
Supporting Character: Vrok is the father of the lead appearing through flashbacks. A respected hunter, Vrok encourages his son's growth, wanting him to have a better life than he did. While he can occasionally seem mean, Vrok deeply cares for his family and only wants what's best for them.

When I was your age, I was a lot like you. It’s different with the silent ones. They aren’t cursed with knowledge like we are. Like… he was. My first hunt I looked into the eyes of my prey, and it spoke; it begged. I stopped. I didn’t want to kill it…
Yes. Because someone else would have died without it. It does not make us good or bad. We are what we are, Kraw. The Bright settles the rest.
Supporting Character: Aijha is a blind wanderer awaiting her inevitable death. Kind and experienced, Aijha's only true weakness is her lack of connection with others due to countless life tragedies, yet due to these strategies she has a wisdom and empathy unseen in others even if she fears her inevitable end.

Before we die, we’re supposed to deliver our horns to one of the great oceans. To make peace with our sins, and regain the purity the Bright made us with… But I cannot make that journey. The Vast will be what takes me. It is my fate.
Supporting Character: A former Acolyte of a cult, Doryen is very active, often causing most of his own problems with his inability to shut his mouth or learn to read the room. Despite this, underneath his exterior lies a lost creature desperate for a true connection.

Oh, please. Who has interest in a dying forest or a desert wasteland? You’re probably the biggest threat to that area, and how sad is that!? You'll be fine!
