Coral Springs Academy // Gacha Club Series
Project Overview
This new series I'm creating is called "Coral Springs Academy". The school is generally a reform school, but its made to support children that struggle so they can be prepared for the real world. Here's some general information.
- Most people that have auditioned are children. Most are 11-15. If you are uncomfortable working with younger people, then auditioning may not be of your best interest.
- All communication will be through Discord.
- This project has sensitive topics and characters with mental disorders. I did my research on each disorder and unfortunate case. Proceed with caution.

Mateo is a fun kid with anger issues and a tremendously dark past.
He's gay. His parents are homophobic and have access to guns. He was regularly abused, but everything started when he came out to his father. basically when he came out, his father threatened to shoot him if he caught him being...well...himself. being the 13 year old he was at the time, he turned the tables on his dad. shot him in the leg, rendering movement useless and painful. dragged him to the shed outside and tied him up, all while his mother was asleep, then he packed up and ran away for the night to clear his head. when he came back the next morning, he felt guilty. it was his father after all. Then he packed up and ran away for the night to clear his head. when he came back the next morning, he felt guilty. it was his father after all. He came home and confessed...partially...to his mother. He said that he came out to his father and he threatened to shoot him, so he locked him in the shed. then he heard a gunshot when he was trying to go to sleep and ran away. his mother felt guilty for what her son had to go through. she revealed that she was forced to be homophobic from the father, and that she was actually bisexual herself. Knowing that he made a slightly messed up decision to lock his father in the shed, she sent him to this reformation school for two reasons. one reason being that she couldn't take care of him alone at that moment, and two because he shouldn't have locked him in the shed-. before he went to the school, he decided he wanted to change his appearance and personality, so he cut his hair, fluffed it up, and became more of a happy kid.
(Backstory inspired by the song Parents from YUNGBLUD)
(Confused): Then where were my clothes earlier? I thought we were going on vacation or something...
(Happy, Calm): Hey everyone! I'm Mateo!
(Questioning): Um...Who's Callum? He's my partner, and when I first came in, the principal told me to keep a close eye on him...
Callum is a moody kid with anger issues, but is really nice when you befriend him.
Witnessed his mother’s murder as a kid. Has PTSD from the situation, and seeing sharp things such as knives and blades of any sort trigger a panic attack for him. Is also suicidal, to the point where anytime he’s alone, he tries to kill himself in some way.
(Pissed off): Leave me alone. I dont want to be bothered for a petty reason such as 'meeting everyone'.
(Shaking, sad, desperate): What's wrong with me...? Why is it always my fault?!
(Monotone, sad undertone):...I give up. I cant do this anymore.
Nicholas is an overall cheerful and positive kid.
He's a demiboy. When he told his parents, they were very accepting and asked how they could support them. He was ecstatic about the fact that his parents would support him. They decided to come out to one of they're friends, but this friend was homophobic and outed them. Afterwards, he was a victim of intense bullying and harassment. He was sexually harassed and abused by one boy in specific, and one unfortunate time this boy slammed Nicholas' skull into the sidewalk repeatedly, giving him brain damage to the frontal lobe. Thankfully, a teacher saw this and put an end to the harassment and abuse. The frontal lobe controls personality, reasoning, and decision-making. He struggles in all these areas now, and goes to the school to overcome the trauma of bullying.
(Questioning, Jokingly): Woahh, who put a stick up his ass?
(Angry): Leave me alone! Damn, I can never get any alone time in this place!
(Sadly): I'm...truly sorry if I said anything rude or offensive. I can't really control how i act sometimes.
King is an overall jokester and happy kid, but he's overly aggressive and easily angered.
King was raised in the most dangerous part of Manhattan, already involved in gang activity by the time he was 10 by association of his elder brother Ethan. Once his parents found out, Ethan was placed in military school while King had to come to Coral Springs Academy for reformation. As part of gang activity he filed his teeth down to teeth similar to piranhas and became dangerously violent. His aggression came from being raised and surrounded by gang violence and wanting a piece of the action.
(Annoyed): I'm King. I- Uhm...Dr. Murphy? Dr. Holland? Can someone please take off this...thing around my face? I know my teeth are sharp but still!
(Angry, Holding back): Y-You don't want to make me upset...you don't want to know what happens when I'm angry..
(Nervous, Slight Annoyance): He provoked me! I tried to hold back, I promise!
Dr. Holland is one of the teachers for the main class. She tends to disobey the rules and let everyone have fun. She rarely actually assigns work, which is why Dr. Murphy is there to keep her in check.
"I know, I'm a teacher and I'm supposed to be strict. But, that's boring, so lets play a game."
"Callum, why aren't you speaking with anyone? We're supposed to meet everyone right now."
"King, Callum. How do I put this nicely.....stop."
Dr. Murphy is the more strict teacher of the two. He loves staying with the kids, and he's very fun to be around...most of the time.
"Holland. I thought you said we would watch some sort of documentary. We're watching My Little Pony. I don't think this is a documentary."
"Hey Mateo...you okay? You look a bit stressed."
"King? Why are you trying to go under the teacher desk...?"
