We are looking for VAs that would like to be supporting characters in our project, Colors of the Rainbow. for those that are unaware, Colors of the Rainbow is an upcoming animated series that takes place in a universe where colors are personified. The series focuses on eight friends, who are the eight colors of the rainbow. We've got the anger-prone photographer Red, the chaotic Orange, the environmentalist Yellow, the energetic Green, the shy and timid Indigo, the music-loving troublemaker Purple, and the kind motherly Pink. The series follows these eight living their lives in the city of Dathanna and overcoming the many obstacles that life has for them.
REQUIREMENTS
1. You must have a high-quality microphone, or at the very least, you must be clear for me to hear and have any background noise be minimal.
2. You must have a Discord account, as the project will be going into production over there.
3. Your voice files must be sent in a .wav format.
4. Remember to have fun!
NOTE: Payment on this project will be distributed upon completion and uploading of each episode, as well as when revenue begins to be generated. So if all these conditions are met, expect to be paid in the weeks following the uploading of each episode.
Gold's best friend. Loves shopping and partying, Nice, ditzy, thinks she's smart but she's not,
Voice: High range, with an airy tone and a Valley Girl accent. Think Karen from Mean Girls.

He was using you! You are a boss ass babe who don’t need no man!
Gold and Amber's best friend. He is gay and a hopeless romantic. A little bit of a ditz, huge fashionista.
Voice: High, feminine range. Think Kurt from Glee.
I’m designated driver so the least you could do is let me name the group.
I know but the two weeks we were together was like the best time of my life. He felt like my soulmate.
Dathanna's resident private investigator. she dresses, talks, and acts like she's in a 1920s film noir. Never shows much emotion when she's on the job...when she's off the job however, she's a lovable noir-obsessed nerdy dork.
Voice: Medium-Low range, with a Manhatten accent. Always laying it on thick with the similes and the metaphors when she's on the clock. When she's at home, however, the Manhatten accent is replaced with a more Californian accent.
[Monologuing, Manhatten] It was a calm summer day in the city of Dathanna, almost too calm. Work had slowed down so much, you'd think it was covered in molasses. The sun was smiling on the city that day, but I could tell something about that smile was fake. A storm was brewing, and the chef brewing it was gonna rear its ugly face to me soon enough. It's just a matter of time.
[Reading a noir novel, nerding out, Californian] Oooo Jade you little imp, no way you can escape from Pearl P.I., she's never lost a case, and she's not starting now!
Cerulean is a lawyer at Dathanna Law Firm. He is very sly, witty, and sneaky. Nobody is ever sure whether or not he can be trusted. Sometimes he might help you out, other times he'll screw you over. He's very hard to pinpoint in that regard.
Voice: Medium-High Range, with a lot of nonchalant sarcasm in his voice, think Hades from Disney's Hercules.
[Talking to a potential client, not caring] Well isn't that a nice sentiment, but unfortunately, it does nothing for me. See, unless you two lovebirds are paying me to get this guy behind bars, I see no reason why I should help you. So until I see some compensation my way, you know where the door is and you know what to do with it.
[In court] Now hold on! Your honor, sweetheart, babe, I'm afraid I must object to this. See, it is clear to me, and the jury that the prosecution over there is being completely argumentative, which I'm sure we all know is a big no-no in the courtroom.
Burgundy is the mechanic at Oil Black Auto Repair. He knows a great deal about cars and has a love for all the various models and years of them. He's very wild, energetic, but is able to take things seriously when he needs to.
Voice: Medium-Low range, raspy, slightly seasoned. Think Mater from Cars.
[Checking your car] Whoo doggy! Y'all had some cowboys in here, haven't ya? Well, it ain't too big a problem, just got a dead battery is all. I'll have ya all rarin' to go in a jiffy!
[Excited] Well I'll be hogtied! I haven't seen a show like that since the last time I went to the rodeo...which hasn't been for quite a while, I need to see if we can host another one in town one of these days, those things are a hoot and a half!
Green's sister. Very jaded, cynical, and sarcastic. However, she will do whatever it takes to keep her brother safe or help him out.
Voice: Medium-Low range with a deadpan snark sort of tone in her voice. Think Shego from Kim Possible.
[Annoyed] Hey, how about you do me, my brother, hell the entire city a big favor and put a zipper on that big mouth of yours? Nobody cares. Ya hear me?
[Warm, talking to her brother] Hey, you know I've always got your back, right? No matter what, I'm with you, bro. To the end.
Baby Blue is the owner of the Baby Blue Ice Cream Parlor. He is cheerful, optimistic, a tad naive, but ultimately has a good heart and just wants to make his customers happy.
Voice: Medium-Low range, with pure optimism in his tone. Think David from Camp Camp
[Serving his customers, Chipper] Here you go! One triple scoop of double-dipped chocolate fudge with rainbow sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry on top! Have an Icecreamalicious day!
[Checking the storage, nervous] Oookay, so we're out of pistachio ice cream. I'm sure nobody will be upset at that right? Pistachio is the least popular ice cream flavor [beat] Oh who am I kidding? Even pistachio has its fans!
Lavender is the librarian at the Paper White Library. She is very socially awkward, keeps to herself most of the time, but has an extreme passion for literature, and will not hesitate to gush about her favorite novels.
Voice: Medium-High range with a nasal twinge. Think a subdued, awkward Peridot from Steven Universe.
[Welcoming people to the library, awkward and nervous] Um hi, welcome to the Paper White Library, how can I help you? I mean, I'm assuming you need help, but then again I shouldn't assume, that's rude, at least I think it's rude, I uh. Umm can-can I start over?
[At book club, fangirling] Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I freaked out at the ending, where it's revealed that Kelly Green was actually Hunter Green's mother! Like the way they described their relationship, this entire time I thought they were siblings or at least cousins, but when you take the age reversal system that was brought up in chapter 8, it makes way too much sense! I just- AGH IT'S SO GOOD!!
Hot Pink is a fashion designer who's known for her creating the hottest styles and trends. Her designs are known all across Dathanna as the best of the best! She is transgender (MtF), eccentric, a bit of a snob when it comes to fashion, but ultimately a genius in her craft.
Voice: Medium-High range with a lot of dramatic energy behind the tone, think Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmations.
NOTE: I would prefer it if we got an actual trans woman to play this character, but cis women are allowed to audition if that cannot be the case.
[During a photoshoot, directing her models] No no no! Okay, what I want is seductive but classy, what YOU'RE giving me is 5-year-old trying on her mommy's makeup and clothes! You gotta really envision it, you're at a party, like a really high-class sort of party, like the kinda party Gray throws, all eyes are on you when you enter the room, you love the attention, you strut across the room like you own the damn place! You feeling me on this? Good, now imagine the camera is that audience. Soak in that attention! Let it wash over you!
[Gleeful, designing her next line] Oh this is gonna be glorious! I can see it now, "1960s Chic". Nostalgia is in right now and the dresses of the 60s were beyond adorable! It's gonna be BEAUTIFUL!
