Hello, on the internet I go by Star. Thank you for taking the time to check out the casting call page for Project Paintball. Please read what's said below before auditioning.
WHAT IS PROJECT PAINTBALL:
Project Paintball (Codenamed) is an animated Splatoon based web series which I started the concept for about a year now.
The story follows an Inkling named Bryan who through a series of events, becomes an Agent. Despite this being a Splatoon-based story. I did make an effort to write the series in a way that may be appealing to both Splatoon fans and non-Splatoon fans. So you’re still more than welcome to audition if you’re not familiar with the games but still want to have a go at auditioning.
The show’s visual content and dialog falls somewhere in between a PG and PG-13 production. The show will run in Volumes, each volume ranging from 3 to 5 episodes which will release monthly. Volume 1 will have 3 episodes and will hopefully be debuting during the second quarter of 2020. The series is expected to have 6 volumes splitting into 25 episodes. I hope to get out 1-2 volumes a year.
I'm putting up auditions because while I was able to find voice actors for existing characters, I am left trying to find people who would be willing to voice the ones I have yet to cast. All available characters set to debut in Volume 1 are listed below.
PROJECT POLICIES (Policies to be followed should you get a role in the project):
Information about upcoming volumes/episodes given to Voice actors before release (unless otherwise told) should not be disclosed. This includes mention of the project up until its proper public reveal.
I would preferably like it if we could record lines via voice chat. Typically, when I have a script for a volume done, I will reach out to all of you to find a time where both of us may be able to sit down and record. Please respect the time we agree on and if something comes up preventing you from being able to record, let me know in advance and we can arrange for another time.
Understand that in terms of length, Project Paintball is a large-scale project and as such, I want long-term commitment as the series will be running for around 4-6 years. This also means I need some way of contacting you in which you will be active. I WILL NOT ASK FOR LINES OFTEN! AT MOST I’LL ASK FOR A HUNDRED LINES EVERY 8 MONTHS!
THESE ARE NOT PAID ROLES. Work on this show is a volunteering effort and will not be compensated by any form of currency.
THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE AUDITIONING:
Before you audition, make sure that you comply to the policies listed above. Do not hesitate to send me a private message should you have any questions.
I’m not too picky about microphones and can make do with a good sounding laptop microphone. But understand that I do have some sort of standard as to audio quality.
You need to be 13 years or older to audition. Or under with parent supervision.
If you audition and don’t get a role, there is a chance that I may contact you to offer you a cameo or a future role. I need to know whether or not you consent to this in the note you send in with your audition.
Most character designs are not final and all are subject to change.
For a better chance of getting a role, please send in multiple takes of each line.
Which yes, these are not the final auditions for the project seeing as to how this is for the cast debuting in the first volume. More volumes will come with more opportunities. Just drop an email with your audition note to get notified every time I put auditions back up.
