Code Geass | Lelouch kills Charles and Marianne Small Fandub

Project Overview

So, I've recently rewatched Code Geass and man is it still good! Really excited to see where they're going with the alternate timeline since the movie (and recap movies) setup something great. Anyways, let's get to the point! I wanna dub a personal favorite scene of mine which is the video that's linked! I wanna dub the timestamp (3:54-6:01) with me voicing Lelouch! Obviously, if you're auditioning for this you would know that this contains huge spoilers (not the title).

Requirements

  • Must be age 15 years or older to audition
  • No laptop/headset mics! (keep background noise to a minimum)
  • Make sure to read the character descriptions to better understand said character!
  • Have a discord for communication purposes!
  • Have fun!

Great auditions so far! I decided to extend the deadline though so I can get more auditions for C.2 and Marianne. After this second deadline I'll start to cast the VA's! 😄

Charles is a cold and intelligent man who strongly holds views such as social Darwinism, believing that only the strongest are worthy of rising in society. His philosophy is not reserved solely for his adversaries, however, as he treated Lelouch harshly after the death of Marianne, offering no sympathy to his then-adolescent son. He is also deeply cynical, having no confidence in the good of people and believing that humanity's natural course is struggle and conflict.

His voice range would be within the medium low to low range.

  • "All men ... are NOT created equal! Some are born swifter afoot, some with greater beauty, some are born into poverty and others born sick and feeble." (arrogant)

  • (To Lelouch) "You are dead. You were always been dead to me, dead from the moment you were born" (insulting Lelouch)

  • "The world lies!" (arrogant)

Because of her death, little is known about Marianne, besides the fact she was the mother of Lelouch and Nunnally vi Britannia, Imperial Consort of the 98th Emperor of Britannia, and a former member of Knights of the Round. She was an aesthetically beautiful woman, and as early Code Geass side materials portray her, sweet and kind-hearted, with a rebellious spirit and a deep protective instinct towards her children.

Her voice range would be within the medium high to medium low range.

  • "I would never hurt my children!" (emphasis)

  • "I did this for my children!" (emphasis as she's stubborn)

  • "I thought you supported us!?" (confused)

C.C. expresses little emotion throughout most of each season and behaves apathetically towards most. However, she does express some emotions later in the first season and at several points in the second when in the presence of Lelouch. When she locks her memories away, she regresses to how she was hundreds of years ago, fearful and open. However, when she regains her memories, her personality reverts back. Kallen suspects that C.C. is in love with Lelouch, which made C.C. unusually flustered. Backing this up is that C.C. never made Lelouch take her immortality per their contract and worries she altered his fate

Her voice range would be in the high to medium high range.

  • "There are times in life when you have to distance yourself from those you love, because you love them." (calm)

  • (To herself) "False tears bring pain to those around you. A false smile brings pain to oneself." (calm)

  • "Lelouch, do you know why snow is white? Snow is white because it's forgotten what color it's supposed to be." (calm)
