Cirque Macabre - Horror Game
Project Overview
We are a group of 3D Games Art & Design students from the University of Hertfordshire creating a playable level of our videogame Cirque Macabre for our second year project.
Cirque Macabre is a first person horror, mystery game set in an abandoned circus in 1970s Maine, USA. We are in need of three voice actors.
Our finished game will be displayed on our creative portfolios and possibly at game festivals and possibly free to download online. You will be given full credit. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer paid work. You will also have to sign a standard release form, which we will provide. We would also like to make it clear that it is our group that will be employing any artists, not the university.

Terrence is the main protagonist of our game, who has returned to his old family circus after receiving a cryptic letter from his estranged brother. Terrence was an escape artist before he ran away to join the army after a family disagreement. He is an American man in his 50s, who is likeable but reckless.

Madame Cecilia the Fortune Teller is the spirit of the protagonist's mother-in-law. She speaks to him by possessing her fortune-telling machines. Cecilia is an Italian lady in her 70s, who is mysterious, disagreeable, and half-crazy. She acts as a guide to the player.

Roman is the protagonist’s older brother. He is a man in his 60s, who is overly ambitious, greedy, and clever, and is attempting to lure his brother, Terrence, back to their family circus with evil intentions. He is the unseen antagonist.
