Welcome to the station. No one knows how they got here, but one thing is clear: there's no way out... at least, not yet.
Cinderplex is an atmospheric, character-driven drama set in a mysterious, isolated station where time seems to blur and reality feels unstable. The story follows four strangers—Troy, Josh, Foster, and Amanda—each struggling to survive, cope, and understand the nature of their strange confinement. As they explore the station’s dark corners and cryptic signals, alliances form and tensions rise. Their greatest challenge, however, may not be the locked doors or dwindling supplies—it’s the secrets each of them is hiding.
This project combines elements of suspense, dry humor, and psychological tension. Each character brings a unique voice to the narrative, giving actors the opportunity to explore a variety of emotions: fear, hope, cynicism, and fleeting moments of connection. It’s about survival, trust, and the mysteries we tell ourselves when there are no easy answers.

Your submissions were all amazing, so it's been a tough process.
Troy is resourceful, sarcastic, and trying to maintain his sanity amidst the confusion. He has spent about a week in the station and feels a responsibility to find answers. He's often the driving force behind the group's actions, sometimes masking his fear with humor. Needs a voice that can convey uncertainty but with an edge of determination.
"When I woke up here, well, actually, right where you're sitting... There were no lights. The console wasn't even on."
"The best food you're going to get here. A guy once ate a plane, so this should be easy."
"Look, I've found this manual... It says 'Attention Null Station' further down, so I think we're good."
Foster is pragmatic, skeptical, and often takes on the role of a realist in conversations with Josh. He questions the situation and Amanda's motives, showing concern about trust and resources. Foster’s tone is weary but determined, with a focus on survival above all. Needs a voice that expresses cautiousness, frustration, and moments of vulnerability.
"What if she's lying? Do Not Trust Unverified Personnel—That's what the dossiers say."
"Josh, bringing her in here... I don't know if it's a good idea. You’ve read the same manual as I did."
"I want to do more than just survive, Josh."
Amanda is a survivor who has endured isolation and deprivation. She was thrown into the station’s labyrinth without explanation and has had to scrape by for survival. Though exhausted and traumatized, she refuses to give up.
"I’ve been wandering for days... maybe longer. I tried counting the hours at first, but after a while, it just... stopped mattering."
"You think I want to be here? I would’ve kept going if I had any choice, but the walls just keep closing in."
"Every night I tell myself to keep moving... that the next door will be different. It never is, but I can’t stop hoping."
