Casting Call for "Ao Kasane" | Project Mokyuu: Magia Record Fandub
Project Overview
Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story is a mobile game spin-off of the critically acclaimed 2011 dark magical girl anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
Project Mokyuu aims to produce a high-quality English fan-dub for Magia Record’s Arc 2 content, which will likely never receive an official English translation. This project does not generate any revenues in order to avoid copyright concerns. Thus, unfortunately due to the nature of our project, we are unable to provide monetary compensation.

Due to unfortunate circumstances, our prior VA for Ao Kasane had to step down from the role. We are recasting the role. All previous auditions from the last casting call will be taken into account. This purpose of this casting call is to allow anyone who didn't get a chance during the last audition cycle to submit their auditions.
Major dub will occur in the event "Crimson Resolve"
While the Magical Girls of Kamihama City were fighting the cult known as the Wings of the Magius, Magical Girls in other cities also faced dire circumstances… In Futatsugi City, the discovery of the truth behind Magical Girls’ fates has led to a harsh dog-eat-dog conflict between gangs of Magical Girls fighting over territory and the dwindling supply of Grief Seeds. Can they end the war before they wipe themselves out? And what will happen when they discover the true reason behind the their situation?
Please note that Ao will reappear in the main story of Magia Record. So, if you are casted, please be aware that voicing a character is a long-term commitment. You will be expected to be on-call for any content in which your character appears. In short, before joining Project Mokyuu, be sure that you have the commitment and responsibility for the role.
If you are selected and accept the role as a named character, you are obligating yourself to a long-term commitment to be this character's voice actor.
Project Mokyuu tries to respect your time and is willing to accommodate VAs when/if life circumstances arise.
Since this is an emergency casting, the casting call will last one week, ending on June 22nd. Casting decisions will be made public approximately a week after auditions close.
Even if you weren’t cast in this particular event, if we like your audition, we may reach out to you to offer you the opportunity to join our community for opportunities to audition for other characters in the future.

Although serving as one of Juri’s lieutenants in Ryuugasaki, Ao is secretly the head of Janomiya, a gang of younger Magical Girls that have infiltrated the other two gangs. Ao holds a grudge against the older Magical Girls of Futatsugi City. Ao dreams of a kinder world where girls like her can be safe. A hardcore gamer, Ao frequently hides behind her cheerful gamer persona to mask her fear and uncertainty.
