Farendia (Original Fantasy Audio Drama) PART ONE: Main Characters Part 1

In the works is an original audio drama fantasy series! Farendia is based on a world of imaginative and wild ideas from nearly twenty years in the making! If you're a fan of the works such as Final Fantasy, Studio Ghibli, and other incredible genre-based stories, then this project may just be for you! The plan is to split the story up into three, separate audio books of chapters. This is going to be a long project, so please keep that in mind!
In the world of Farendia, humans and half-human, half-animal beings, known as Feralites, live and thrive together. Farendia is also home to many spirits and ancient deities. Some of these divine creatures, represented by different Feralite tribes and cultures, are even carved into totem statues and etched into stone to tell their stories.
Nearly one thousand years ago, however, a war broke out between the Farendians and hordes of ancient beasts and demons, threatening the very livelihoods of those wanting to live in peace. The fight for Farendia took many suns and moons, and good people lost their lives. Eventually, the hordes were driven back and Farendia was at peace.
In the modern age, that same threat is on the horizon once again. The numbers of hordes have begun to grow just as they did in the ancient times. Perhaps there is more to this ancient evil than we know?
If you are wanting to audition for the project, there are some things that are required in order to do so:
Please have a good quality microphone. A little bit if background buzz, or static is ok as long as it isn't too noticeable and can be edited out easily.
You MUST have a Discord. Discord is the platform that will be used to communicate with as well as give out scripts to our actors!
You can audition as many times for the project as you'd like before the deadline. However, constructive criticism will be a big part in helping us choose who we feel will best play a character.
DISCLAIMER: Those of us involved in critiquing and casting do not discriminate against anyone wanting to audition. Anyone is welcome to try and be a part of the project!
Auditions will go for quite a while in order to give people plenty of time to post an audition. This is only part of the casting call and will only contain the main characters for book one. Villains, minor, and side characters will have their own separate auditions soon!

Description: Rue is a half-raven, half-owl deviant from the southeast of the region. This quirky little bird enjoys spending time sitting atop the tall trees and practicing her hand at some archery, a very common skill among bird-like deviants. On the day of her birth, Rue was found to be bearing a “blessed mark”. This mark, often believed to be a sign of favor among the Great Spirit itself, can enhance one’s abilities; in this case, Rue’s ability to sense things in the dark easier and her gift of foresight. Rue would seek the council of the matriarchs, however, when a vision comes to her in slumber one night: a vision of fire.

Description: Cassius is a young, adult male who lives in the capitol with his mother and sister. His father, once a revered war general, was critically injured by a beast when he was just a young boy. This was the event that would be the necessary drive Cassius once never had to join the military and serve like his father. Cassius would work his way up, eventually gaining the rank of commander-in-chief. Cassius has grown close to the militia that work under him. He even softens up for characters like Rue, who considers him to be almost like that of a big brother. One day, Cassius’ life would take a turn for seemingly the worst as a beast would attack him and his infantry during a supply run.

This foxy lady is a very attractive and sultry girl who uses those traits to her advantage. Men are often desperate to hook up with her, only to find their belongings gone once they’ve awakened from their night of booze guzzling.

Description: Born in the Eastern, lush isles of Kolĕlĕ, Nairomi was raised alongside her siblings in a clutch of serpent-halves. Nairomi is a shy and modest girl with a sweet disposition. Her fangs bare venom capable of doing serious damage to someone’s body, but only uses it to create anti-venoms and other ailments. Ever since she was a little girl, Nairomi only ever wanted to become a great mage. However, later in life, that dream would ultimately fade away once an illness struck the land. Nairomi’s little brother would be one of the many affected with the disease, paralyzing his legs and weakening him. Nairomi took up healing and shamanry in hopes of one day finding a cure.

Despite these sweet characteristics, Fayedriel is not one to shy away from a fight and can hold his own against hordes of demons and beasts.

Description: Lushika lives in the northern mountains as a noble alongside her older brother, Hitawe. She and her brother are two of the last white wolves known to live amongst the wolf clans. Because of this, Lushika has lived a sheltered life of her brother’s wishes. Lushika tries to make life interesting day by day with what she has, such as practicing spear play with her trusty bodyguard, Koroku, or spending time with her handmaiden, Fala. One day after sneaking out for some fun, Lushika would stop near a riverbank to get a drink of water, only to get a taste of blood in her mouth. As she tracks and searches along the bank, she comes across a man with a wound in his side and a military style cloak. Kneeling, she checks for a sign of life, and he awakens slowly, his emerald-green eyes meeting her own sapphire-blue ones.
