Project Overview

Camp Neverland is an original indie animated series that blends nostalgic, sunny 1970s summer camp aesthetics with surreal psychological horror.

The show follows a group of trapped individuals who have been pulled into a colorful, synthetic camp environment where the sun never sets, the lake is made of blue vinyl, and the trees are construction paper. Overseeing it all is Barnaby—a hyper-enthusiastic, felt-and-foam mascot bear suit who acts as the Head Counselor. Barnaby forces the campers to participate in endless crafts, games, and merit badge activities while strictly enforcing camp rules to keep anyone from noticing the uncanny truth of their reality.

We are currently casting voice talent for our pilot episode! We are looking for actors who can balance comedic timing with subtle, unsettling undertones.

  • Facts about Felix

    His fox tail is attached to his green overalls with a rusty safety pin. If he gets snagged on a bush while running away from Barnaby, his tail usually gets left behind.

    He keeps a plastic kazoo tucked in his overalls pocket. Whenever Barnaby starts making a loud announcement, Felix will secretly blow the kazoo to ruin Barnaby's dramatic moment.

    Every single green patch on his overalls covers a tear from a time he tried to climb over the camp perimeter fence to see what was on the other side!

  • Facts about Mindy

    Her green owl mask actually works like night-vision goggles in the dark woods. That’s why she never takes it off, especially when nighttime hits Camp Neverland.

    All the notes she writes in her secret notepad are written entirely in code and mirror-writing, so if Barnaby or Button ever steals it, they can't read what she discovered.

    Her dark hoodie has deep front pockets where she keeps "camp glitches" she finds—like a piece of plastic grass that never bends or a paper leaf that floats without falling.

  • Facts about Leo

    His lion mask is made of simple paper-plate cardboard, which means it gets ruined instantly in the rain. If it rains, he spends the whole time holding an umbrella strictly over his face so his "mane" doesn't get soggy.

    His bright red sneakers are about three sizes too big for him! He bought them oversized so he’d "look like a big, strong lion," which is why his feet look so huge when he runs.

    Despite being a total coward, he actually has a surprisingly loud roar—it just usually turns into a high-pitched squeak at the very last second.

  • facts about Pebble

    If Pebble sits near the campfire for too long, her bottom half starts to flatten out and stick to the log. she has to peel herself off like warm play-dough.

    Because she’s made of clay, she doesn't actually carry a bag—she just presses little items (like pebbles or twigs) directly into her torso to store them for later.

    She is the only camper who actually enjoys Nurse Woolly’s hot cocoa because she can't taste it anyway—it just makes her clay stomach feel nice and warm.

  • facts about Button

    When the camp gets quiet, you can actually hear a faint wooden click-clack sound when Button walks or turns his head.

    The golden star painted over his right eye isn't just for style—he painted it on himself as a self-awarded "Star Camper Badge" because Barnaby refused to give him one.

    If you present Button with a situation that completely breaks camp rules (like a clock running backward), he will freeze entirely for 10 seconds while his brain tries to recalculate.

Personality: Oppressively cheerful and fiercely protective of "camp rules." He treats every terrifying or weird occurrence as a totally normal, fun activity.

Key Behavior: Whenever tension peaks or someone starts asking dangerous questions about the outside world, Barnaby blows his whistle, causing a loud, jarring screen-transition sound, and instantly pivots everyone to a new activity ("Time for arts and crafts!").

fun fact: Barnaby is actually an empty mascot suit so nobody is technically controlling the Barnaby mascot suit.

His voice is articulate, direct, and slightly clipped—like a little prep-school kid or a junior hall monitor who loves the sound of his own voice. He takes Barnaby’s rules 100% literally.
