Calicem Salutem
Project Overview
A utopian future in which everything is perfect. Everyone belongs to their own group or faction. There are The Witches, The Wolves, The Hunters, The Thieves and The Warriors. Every year these five factions select four lucky people to participate in the annual Calicem Salutem. These four are usually the smartest and strongest in the faction. This story is based around five different people from each faction. Azura (a witch), Gage (a wolf), Zander (a hunter), Persephone (a thief), Thane (a warrior). Each of these people will be the leaders of their group. They will choose three other people that worship them and are skilled like them from their own faction to help them in the games. Each faction may team up with another to symbolize how they once worked together 100 years ago in WWIII.
Azura and Persephone are the best of friends. Azura always out-shined Persephone, at first Azura only befriended Persephone to show she has substance but along the what she actually grew to like Persephone as a person, and at some point Persephone was filled with jealousy and wanted to be like Azura. So Persephone went out and tried to do all the things Azura does. (Modeling for boushie industries, being a spokesperson etc.) But soon Persephone realized that she doesn’t have to be the perfect barbie. She soon didn’t care about the spotlight. She just focused on being herself. But when they both find out they are chosen for the cup, they were shook. Azura knows Persephone will do whatever it takes to win.
Gage and Thane are brothers, but they were put into different factions based on their skills and qualities. Gage was always the democracy’s favorite and Thane would get jealous over this since they were in the same bloodline. Thane thought that he should get the spotlight because he was really fit and “hot”. Gage didn’t realize that his brother felt this way until during the games and he felt bad for it, but Thane didn’t believe him and ended up killing his brother in the game. Later on, after the 10 episodes, they worked things out.
Zander didn’t have any family, everyone knew his story and he never talked about it with anyone but Persephone. Persephone and him were really good friends and they told each other everything. When they both were picked for the games, they knew right away they would team up in order to win. The rules were that only one faction could win, but they planned to change that. They realized along the way that their friendship was much more than just that.

Azura- A wise and powerful witch. She is alluring and beautiful,cocky and self centered. She thinks she’s all that and can get anyone to do anything for her.. Everyone wants to be around her. They want to surround her with kindness and support and treat her like the queen she knows she is.

Zander- He takes charge when he needs to. He is usually nice, unless you get on his bad side. He comes off as scary and rude at first, but once you get to know him he has a heart of gold. He does what he has to, to win, even if it means going against the rulebook. He makes bold decisions, is brave, strong, and strategic.

I get that Thane cheated, but that doesn’t mean that we should. Cheating will get us nowhere. We have to do this fair in square. (Concerned/Hopeful)
Gage- The alpha of the pack. He is brave and loyal, he plays by the book. He sweet and kind. He’s the person everyone likes and nobody is ever against. He is the democracies perfect “coverboy”, almost their puppet, but he has some deep relying issues that he keeps to himself.
