Buzz Lightyear of Star Command Fan Revival (Round 1 of casting)
Project Overview
Hello! My name is Nhexis, and I’m currently developing a fan revival for the 2000s Disney show called Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. This project is very close to my heart and I cannot wait to make it a reality!
My goal is to expand upon the pre-existing universe that the show laid down, introducing new characters and worlds, and all-around continuing off of something I hold so dear! And of course, entertaining those who happen to stumble across the project as well.
This will be an animated/semi-animated animatic hosted on my YouTube channel. My goal is for the episodes to be around 10-20 minutes each, but may be shorter. I currently do not have a projection on how many I would like to make.
This will be written and animated solely by me - so please be patient for me to get back to you on your audition if you choose to apply! It is a huge labor of love for me.

Buzz Lightyear is the titular character of the series and will be involved in many episodes. He is rather stoic and calm but not unfeeling or uncaring, and a natural leader. He plays by the rules no matter what, and is a force for good in the galaxy. He is the oldest out of the main cast.

So long as the Space Rangers are still around, there is always hope in the universe. That’s why the citizens never lose faith, and why we stop at nothing.
I’m not “obsessed” with thwarting Zurg’s evil plans, I just happen to be thoroughly educated on the subject. He *does* attack every other week, after all.
XR, the Experimental Ranger, was created by the little green men to serve as a partner for Buzz. However, after an accident, his personality ended up becoming jumbled. He is now sassy and sarcastic, and quite a bit silly! Despite his often snide remarks, he holds a soft spot for Commander Nebula, whom he considers to be his dad.
Though he is a robot, his voice is NOT monotone!

Note: This series includes some OC x Canon, and XR himself is a very romance-based and flirty character at times. By applying for the role, you recognize that this will be part of it.

Mira is the princess of a planet called Tangea, but abandoned her royal life to join the Space Rangers. She is tomboyish and determined to prove herself worthy in Star Command. She can sometimes be a little snarky or awkward, but she is all-around a great ranger!

Booster is originally from the planet Jo-Ad, a farming planet. He is very in touch with his emotions as a lot of the people on his planet are. He is excitable, yet naive, but always has the best intentions. He sees the good in everyone.

Do you really need to be so negative all the time? Doesn’t that get exhausting? I sure couldn’t be for that long.
Oh boy! I’m so *excited*! I haven’t been on a mission this exciting since… since the last time I’ve been on a mission this exciting!
Well, according to the Space Ranger Mission Manual, it clearly states that no ranger is to go into action without backup… seems pretty cut and dry if you ask me.
The main antagonist of the series and involved in many episodes. Zurg is pure evil and will stop at nothing to see the Galactic Alliance fall. Although, at times, his goofier side tends to show. He’s not really that successful of a villain.

Hey! Watch it, will you? That took hours of slaving away in my evil lab to get right! And you’re just trashing it!
If it wasn’t for those Space Rangers, I wouldn’t be confined to such a small planet! The whole universe would be under my control! There’s something about those group of losers that keeps them on top. Tenacity, maybe?
