"Blooddance" (Cyberpunk Corporate Drama Mini-Series)
Project Overview
Onyxitron, Syrupis, Robitek, Unimech, and Cuboidal Life. These companies make up the longstanding Kinetic Engineering Consortium, an alliance to further the fields of synthworks, robotics, resource procurement and, most recently, private defense contracting. For almost half a century, the work the Consortium has done has improved the lives of synths, farmers, miners, construction workers, and many more. They operate as one of many respected corporate entities in the united Human Empire, a multiplanetary government largely at peace for over 200 years. However, that will soon come to an end.
Beginning with the hacking of a military storage facility, allowing a catastrophic terror rampage, the Consortium juggles a thirst for justice, public favour, and a visage of strength until their mistakes drag them to their downfall.
This is a series of 5 shorts detailing their tragedy. Each short has a timeskip to the nitty-gritty of what lead to the end. All but a small handful of characters are locked to a single episode.

She’s a very corporate-minded Mexican woman. While, compared to other characters she’s a subordinate, her control over several major projects at K-sort member company Syrupis gives her a good filter for BS.
Of course you're aware of all of the things the O.B.Z. chassis has provided the world.
Oh, cut the shit, that's not what this is about.
Nothing happened before I touched down.
The executive director for the North American division of Syrupis, he heads pretty much anything planetside for the company and is their representative for the Kinetic Engineering Consortium. He has a temper, but a snarky demeanor that balances it out.
Sometimes, I feel like the only same person in the room.
OH!? Please tell me how you expect to fix THIS!?
She is a particularly feisty host of the Detroit-based talk show Turning Gears dedicated to informing and testing the minds of people with anything in the modern tech development world. She's a lot more underhanded than this position would suggest, however.
We'd like to welcome this member of the revered Kinetic Engineering Consortium.
Do you have any comment on the incident?
Though an unnamed character, this person is commonly heard arguing with other Consortium heads or machinating about plans. They think they’re doing good and are very passionate in turn. Some would say too much so.
First things first, Onyxi, was this you?
In these worlds, you don't don't tell people, you show 'em.
A regional director at Onyxitron, the largest megacorporation in the Consortium, they are one of many that Onxyitron contacts responsible for dealings with the corporate alliance. Usually a well-organized person, loving planning and predictability, the inciting events of the story threw them for a loop. With all targets placed on them and their company, they now very stressed nature isn’t hard to source. They sound like if an Italian librarian were suddenly forced into a warzone, which is… surprisingly apt.
I assure you, we are doing everything in our power to mitigate this.
There are no notes for this type of thing.
An Officer in the Armed Defense Unit, the vestigial military arm of the Empire, they command a small forward operating base monitoring an East Asian separatist holdout. Sounds about like you’d expect. (highly recommend taking as a second role)
What? I didn't order reinforcements.
A general voice for the war droids produced by various groups. (highly recommend taking as a second role)
WE are the forward lines.
Of course, sir.
A Mekabo human (offworlder), she is an immigrant to Humanity’s homeworld and worker in a Cuboidal Life research centre. Fed up with the dangerous disregard for the implications of the Consortium’s “dealings” with separatists and Cuboidal’s plans to further exacerbate the problem, she decides to film their immoral tasks in order to expose the company. With the jointly colonized fourth planet being her home, she has a somewhat grating mix-match of accents and a worried righteousness in her tone.
I must expose this. People must know.
It may not look it, but this device is beyond dangerous.
The K-sort representative for the mysterious Cuboidal Life company, this inquisitive Indian woman has made a surprise visit to Priya’s facility on the day of her fateful vlog. Her tone is up to you.
I would like to see.
Please, do not rush.
An Indian man responsible for keeping the research centre in check. He is stern, strict, and unwavering. He’s not going to be humiliated or, god forbid, demoted for the failings of stupid underlings. That’s for sure.
Priya...
I do not care. Just do it for the woman.
I assure you, Ms. Sinng, everything is alright.
A half-black Japanese man representing Unimech in the Consortium, this man has learned a type of pragmatic diplomacy lost on most others. He is very straight to the point and doesn’t waste much time when he speaks.
I'm aware, but there's no use in being upset about what you can't change.
We're not MEANT to. That's the thing.
Hailing from the Pacific Islands, this very upset, emotional man heads Unimech. Although Consortium representatives are supposed to handle dealings, he’s really the one sitting at the table. Anything that goes to the rep. finds its way to him, but his backhanded dealings rarely return the gesture.
They need us! They NEED us.
When we're done, every little bit of 'em, from their bones to their blood cells, will be dancing to our tune.
A pilot for the fledgeling ADU Air Force. (highly recommend taking as a second role)
Separatist vessel, ABIDE NOW.
You are entering a NO FLY ZONE. I repeat, you WILL be shot down if you continue.
A pilot for the fledgeling ADU Air Force. (highly recommend taking as a second role)
Consortium representatives have yet to comment on the incident.
The attack happened at roughly 7 P.M. local time.
