Blood Oath [Machinima Full-length Movie]

Blood Oath [Machinima Full-length Movie]

Project Overview

Blood Oath is a machinima full-length movie in production by me, Max Konge, the owner of the Konge Machinima youtube channel. The machinima depicts the bombing of Theramore from the Warcraft universe, following two closely related orcs, as they're put through various missions by Garrosh Hellscream to finalize the offensive. As the attack becomes more and more controversial, the true extend and meaning of the horde oath will be questioned... But at what cost?

A little about me:

I'm a 20 year old with way too many hobbies. I have worked with WoW machinimas since 2009 and are now able to produce and finish relatively high-quality machinimas and have done so for the past year effectively with a ton of other talented people. Feel free to check my youtube channel and judge if this is something for you to participate in.

A little about the project:

The finished product is expected to be at least 60+ minutes in length. The project will last up to a year and will mostly consist of me fiddling with the technical aspects and editing the actual machinima. The project will have an original score, with no chance of copyright strikes and will thus be monetized. If the movie gains enough traffic to earn a profit, it will be shared equally among everyone involved, including you.

A little about you:

You're willing and able to voice act one of these characters and keep in contact every now and then, in case lines have to be redone or if entirely new scenes are added to the movie. You're able to repeatedly use the same voice for the character, while also showcasing the emotions, which the character should feel in the given scenario. Mic quality doesn't have to be excellent and I'd much rather have an excellent voice actor with a horrible mic, than a mediocre voice actor with the best mic available. Give it your all!

Garekk Doombringer

Unpaid

Garekk Doombringer is a young, aspiring orc, who lives in his father's shadow. His father was instrumental in the initial defeat of Ragnaros and Nefarian, making Garekk a member of one of the most honored and respected orc families in generations. He has a deep respect and belief in the horde system and even praises Warchief Hellscream, despite clearly disagreeing with him from time to time.

Personality: Horde loyalist, although smart and bright as Torgan Deadwind. He believes that the warchief should be obeyed no matter what, even if he strongly disagrees with his actions.

Voice: Rough, dark, but still showcasing that he's indeed a young orc. Any interpretation of this is allowed and encouraged.

The extend of your role: Garekk is a hugely important character to the movie and will appear in nearly all, if not all scenes. As you have a long list of lines, it is expected that there will be some do-overs and because of that, you'll keep in contact with me over time, as I begin editing the movie.

  • [Angered] You swore an oath,! You are bound by blood! You are the instrument of your warchief's will! You have NO right to oppose him or anyone else above your position! You've always been a fool, Torgan. If the horde wants Theramore, they take it. If the horde wants Proudmoore to suffer, they make her. If the horde wants you to die, you die!

  • [Nervous, phrasing an oath] Lok'tar Ogar! Victory or death! It is these age-old words that bind me to the glorious horde. For they are the most sacred and fundamental of truths to any warrior of the horde. I give my flesh and blood freely to the warchief. I am the instrument of my warchief's desire. I am a weapon of my warchief's command. From this moment until the end of days, I live and die... For the horde!

  • [Ensuring, sighing] I don't think the oath is for us to interpret, Torgan.

Garrosh Hellscream

Unpaid

Garrosh Hellscream is the recently titled warchief of the horde, after Thrall left to commune with the elements. As the new warchief, Garrosh has trouble managing the horde and his inner frustration quickly turns into anger, which he projects on others. Desperately wanting to live up to his fathers name, Garrosh has begun a new operation to change the playing field for the alliance and horde conflict.

Personality: Mean, rough and hotheaded. Has difficulty talking calmly and will even when talking normally seem irritated or angered.

Voice: Rough and dark as a typical orc. Prefferably as close to the original voice actor as possible. Other interpretations are allowed and encouraged.

The extend of your role: Garrosh will appear in several scenes throughout the movie, although not any of the major ones. As the role of Garrosh Hellscream, you'll show a variety of emotions, but will mostly have to be able to talk in a commanding, rough and usually demeaning way.

  • [Irritated, ensuring] Are you questioning my judgement... 'Soldier'?

  • [Calm] Theramore is perhaps the most strategically well placed alliance settlement in Kalimdor. As our conflict grows even bolder, the alliance will surely exploit this position and reign terror on the great city of Orgrimmar. As warchief, I am not about to allow such insolence to occur!

  • [Slight irritation, ensuring] I'm not about to let some orphan spit all over the hard work we've done.

Torgan Deadwind

Torgan Deadwind is a young, aspiring orc, who's deeply traumatized by the mysterious death of his father and mother. At the age of twelve, Torgan experienced his parents disappear from one day to the other, leaving him to think someone had disposed of them. Physically inferior to other orcs and also for being mocked and bullied in his teenage years, Torgan learned various fighting techniques that kept his wits and his intellgience sharper, than most other orcs. He has a deep respect for the horde's willingness to accept a wide variety of races to the faction, but has begun to despise its progression into a warmongering cult under Garrosh Hellscream's rule.

Personality: Smart, cunning and thoughtful. Even though he serves the horde, he's generally displeased with the lesser intelligent of his fellow horde members and wish for a more accepting, calm and well-mannered horde, where diversity comes first and war is avoided as much as necessary.

Voice: Rough, dark, but still showcasing that he's indeed a young orc. Would ideally also showcase that he's a weaker orc than most, perhaps by a sore voice or frequent lighter tones in his sentences. Any interpretation of this is allowed and encouraged.

The extend of your role: Torgan is a hugely important character to the movie and will appear in nearly all, if not all scenes. As you have a long list of lines, it is expected that there will be some do-overs and because of that, you'll keep in contact with me over time, as I begin editing the movie.

  • [Slight irritation] The horde... Is an idea. A notion, that anyone secluded and deprived of their birth right may band together and secure a place in the cosmos for themselves. Honor and pride upholds this notion, but it is cast aside too often by greed and arrogance. The horde I joined was one of understanding and mutual respect. What it has turned into is a powerhungry cult of mindless beasts. I go with you to war in this conflict... But know that I despise each and every one of you and that my commitment to you all is only held up by a thread of hope. The hope that the horde I once adored will cme storming back, stronger than ever. Long live the horde.... Fuck the warchief!

  • [Cocky - Speaking to an audience] Everything you've ever thought about the horde are lies. To every rumor holds only a small fragment of truth. Alliance find us brutal and predictable, even in combat. If that was true, your high elf brother in front of me would best me easily. On behalf of the horde, let me prove to you all... That that won't be the case.

  • [Slight sadness] It's just... Do you ever feel you're just another body count? An orc dies and out pops another. It's ironic how a blood oath makes bloodspill less tragic. It has become routine.

Thalen Songweaver

Thalen Songweaver has a deep and mysterious past. No one truly knows anything about his past and origin, but it is known that he's worked with mana bombs and other magical devices for a long part of his life. After warchief Garrosh came into leadership, he's been more vocal about his experiments and begins to play a key role in an operation, which will truly change the state of the alliance and horde conflict.

Personality: Joyful, narcissistic and cocky. Seems to be very confident in himself and his work, now that he has a warchief backing his experiments.

Voice: Slight-deep manly voice with a certain calm to it. Prefferably as close to the original voice actor, as demonstrated with the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSy6KBPvzKQ. Other interpretations are allowed and encouraged.

The extend of your role: Thalen will appear roughly after 1/3th of the movie and will appear repeatedly in both some smaller, but also a few larger scenes. His attitude and mood will change wildly over the course of the movie, so it's important that you can emphasize a wide range of emotions.

  • [Relieved, cocky] Ahh... It's about time. Will you free me or did you have... 'Other' ideas?

  • {Cocky, ensuring] The Sunreavers will NOT be pleased.

  • [Demeaning, cocky] I have trouble understanding why you keep such a troubling travel companion around, Garekk.
