Blend S English Fandub Project Episode 1 Part 1 - V.A.'s WANTED!
Project Overview
This will be an English fan-dub of the anime "Blend S", which currently does not have an official dub. We would prefer potential voice actors who have watched the show as well as a few other anime (e.g. the English dub for "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid" and the English dub for "No Game No Life") to audition.
There will be a lot of female roles being cast, so while we appreciate the talent, we will not be accepting any male voice actors auditioning for female roles until episode 8. However, for all the male voice actors out there, there will be a few male roles available, mostly just extras but also some recurring side characters.
Voice actors must have an account with Discord in order to audition! If you don't have an account, it is easy to make one. Recording sessions will be held on Sundays after the audition deadline!
Voice Actor
Maika is a high school student who was looking for part time work in order to study abroad. When she found work at the roleplaying Cafe Stile, she becomes a sadistic character when serving customers.
The voice actress for Maika should be of a naturally high pitch, around the age range of late teens to early young adult. She must be capable of a sunny personality as well as the sadistic character seen in the show.
(polite) Sorry to keep you waiting.
(panicked) Wh-Why? Why does this happen when I'm in a rush to get to a job interview?
(sadistic) Why have you come here?
Voice Actor
Kaho is the hostess at Cafe Stile. When working, she takes on the tsundere role when interacting with customers.
Kaho's voice should be similar to Tohru's voice from the English dub for "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid", but with enough distinction to make it somewhat unique.
(curious) Hey, what do you think that girl's doing?
(delighted) Cute! That looks great on you!
(tsundere) I-I'm not especially worried or anything!
Voice Actor
Akizuki is one of the kitchen staff at Cafe Stile. He may appear apathetic and he tends to be easily irritable (especially with Manager Dino), but deep down, he's a fan of doujinshi.
Akizuki should have a semi-deep male voice, similar to Lelouch from "Code Geass" or Light from "Death Note".
(brief introduction) Kōyō Akizuki. Kitchen staff. Good to meet you.
(angry) Get to work!
(impressed) It was great how you looked at them like they were garbage!
Voice Actor
Aika is Maika's older sister. She lives a traditional Japanese lifestyle, and is always looking out for her younger sister.
Aika should have a stereotypical anime older sister voice. As for examples, I'll leave it up to your judgement, so go wild with this one!
You want a part-time job so you can afford to study abroad, right? Then why don’t you talk to Dad about it?
(reassuring) It’ll be alright. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a decent job, Maika.
(frightened, but worried) Wh-what’s wrong? Why do you have such a scary, um… worried look?
