I reverse-extended the deadline and raised pay
Sorry to bother all of you with a mostly pointless update, but it felt weird to just do this without saying anything.
Short version:
Realized you're all way too good, raised pay to $40. Realized decision is way too hard, shortened deadline for auditions to March 18th.
Long version:
I'm truly grateful to receive so many wonderful submissions from so many skilled voice actors. And I'm really happy to have heard such a lovely range of interpretations for Itsuki!! Seriously! Before this, there wasn't a single fandub of him out there, and now there's 18!!! I never expected this many, and I never expected all of them to be so good too?!? I'm overwhelmed with happiness!!
Just this experience of getting to hear everyone was already well worth the $20 I was willing to pay for the project. So if it's alright I raised the pay to $40. Please don't worry, it's still the same amount of work, I still only want to dub the 2-minute birthday voice drama, for now at least. Simply out of appreciation!
However, appreciating all of this so much makes it very very difficult to select just one. I'm already torn between about seven auditions as is. If I keep receiving more of them, it'll just make that decision even more difficult. So, I shortened the deadline for auditions to March 18th. Just for my own sanity.
Though I guess that doesn't really affect anyone, since this update only goes out to people who have already auditioned.
Either way, thank you all very much for bearing with me on this. It's my first time ever trying to direct something myself, not to mention completely by myself, so I hope I'm being normal enough about it.

Also, sometime in the future, around this new deadline, I'd like to reach out to a some of you for callbacks. I don't know if that's something completely unnecessary for a project on a scale this small, but I hope you'll bear with me. You'll definitely be compensated for any additional lines I ask you for, so I hope that's alright.
