What is “Bendy and The Forgotten Isle?”
“Bendy and the Forgotten Isle” is a fan AU comic of two of my favorite games, "Bendy" and "Cuphead" respectively. I like to doodle in my free time, and coincidentally this comic is where most of those doodles end up.
I always planned on doing some sort of dub for the comic.
But recently the comic’s been getting a bit more traction. So I figured, hey, why not start now?

Details:
I’m hoping to make this a longer running project due to the comic still being at the very beginning of its story/production timeline. So for anyone interested, this project will be an ongoing sort of deal.
Another thing is while this comic is goofy and adventure/mystery driven. It also has horror esc themes. So there will be more unsettling scenes as the comic goes on. Nothing too crazy! But if you’re uncomfortable with horror, and or darker themes, then I’d sit this one out.
Characters/Roles needed:
The character’s I need voice actors for are the following, Bendy, Cuphead, Mugman, and Chalice.
Bendy will have the most lines out of four at the beginning of the comic. But as the story continues, all of these characters will have an even split of lines as they are all main protagonists.
Notes before you audition:
Would prefer if VA’s use discord. But can also be persuaded into emailing/using another app if needed.
Must be comfortable acting out horror esc themes/intense scenes.
Decent mic quality with minimal background noise would be ideal.
While the roles have references for voice directions. They are merely references to help VA’s get an idea for the sort of vibe I’m going for. PLEASE give your own take on the character’s! The more distinct, and unique voice, the better.
Voice Actor's must be 18+. Sorry teen's, I can't have any underaged VA's due to some of the comics heavier/horror topics.
This is my first time directing a project like this. So please keep that in mind.
About the Series/Comic:
The main story follows Bendy and Edgar as they travel through different isles in an attempt to figure out what happened to them, why Bendy can’t remember anything, and where Edgar’s uncles are, and how to get him back to them.
All while dealing with a new challenge, that is the talking compass that they woke up with.
Eventually this strange duo get mixed up with “The Flying Saucers” , an elite group of pilots from the inkwell isles. Mugman, Cuphead, and Chalice, who are world renown fighters, for both their show/act, and for defeating the devil back in the day.
The story follows these five as they try to figure out what the deal is with this talking compass, and why they’re all somehow connected to it.
Extra info on The Cup Trio/Triplets:
Due to their reputation from dealing with the devil, and from their popularity with "The Flying Saucers". The world around the Cup Triplets has labeled them as these sort of dare devil/badass/heartthrob sort of characters. When that's not really the case, at least with Mugman and Chalice.
So while each of them have their own performer esc persona.
They're still flawed/real people underneath.
So keep that in mind if you audition for one of the Cup's.
Where will this be posted?:
I plan to post the full episodes of the dub on YouTube at

And then post little snippets of the episodes as shorts on YouTube/TikTok.
Compensation:
Like I said in the video, I don’t currently have the means to pay any voice actors. But in the future if my financial situation were to change, I would start paying some sort of rate if possible.
But for now, as a thanks for the help, I am willing to discuss some sort of art trade as compensation. Whether it’s an animated pfp/drawing/short animatic/ or something you need done art wise. I am more than willing to discuss what that would look like if anyone is interested/wants something more specific.

Age: 24 to 25yrs
Gender: Male
Bendy is a witty, quick thinker, who can come off as nervous.
When in reality, he’s generally in a constant state of confusion due to his amnesia.
But despite not being able to remember anything, he is incredibly determined to help Edgar find his Uncles. Even if he’s hesitant when it comes to finding out more about himself, who, or what he was prior to their adventure. His past, and inner demons always one step behind him.
- Reference for voice direction:
For Bendy I feel like a west coast cartoony esc voice with a little raspiness at the end would suit him fairly well. But nothing too high pitched.
(ALSO NOT A NEW YORK ESC ACCENT for story reasons)

I like the way Jakeneutron delivers his Oswald voice. Where he still sounds cartoony, but occasionally adds that little bit of raspiness into his words. - This is NOT a requirement though! If you think you have a voice, or an idea, that would fit Bendy better. Then please do that! This is just a generalized example of what I could hear him sounding like. (ALSO as stated above, no New York esc accent. It wouldn't fit story/world building wise.)

Cuphead is a cocky dare devil who is always down for a fight. And out of the three Cup triplets, Cuphead is the one who leans the heaviest into his “Flying Saucer” persona. He’s smug, laid-back, blunt, and can come off as a self absorbed jerk.
But he is fiercely protective over his siblings, is incredibly hard working, and would do literally ANYTHING to make sure that their lives are easier/running smoother. Even if that means working himself down to the bone to make it happen.
- Reference for voice direction:
Cuphead either has a slight New york esc accent, or a west coast accent.
I feel like a voice similar to what Cuphead sounds like in "The Cuphead Show!" could fit, as long as it was a bit deeper. But something more raspy could also work.
I feel like Cuphead has a lot of different way's he could be taken voice direction wise.
So I would just do your own spin on the character, and ignore his voice from the show if you think you have something that would fit him better.

Mugman is the most practical, and logical sibling out of the three Cup triplets. As the creator/owner of “The Flying Saucers,” he’s responsible for many, if not most of the ideas behind their shows. While highly capable, he can get easily flustered or irritated when things don’t go as planned.
And his siblings often like to test his patience. So he isn’t afraid to give them a piece of his mind when he feels it’s warranted. Despite this, Mugman loves his family dearly, and only wants the best for them.
- Reference for voice direction:
Mugman either has a slight New york esc accent, or a west coast accent. I feel like a voice similar to what Mugman sounds like in "The Cuphead Show!" could fit? as long as it was a little bit deeper/aged up? But honestly any sort of nasally spin on his voice could work. Similar to Cuphead, I feel like there are a lot of different way's Mugman can be taken voice direction wise. So I would just do your own spin on the character, and ignore his voice from the show if you think you have something that would fit him better.

Gender: Female
Chalice is easily the most outgoing and people oriented member in the main cast. Similar to Cuphead, she enjoys leaning into her flying saucer persona. But is overall a very charismatic, kind, and bubbly gal regardless of her reputation.
She loves helping others, especially when she feels like someone could use a little boost. Though her “larger than life” personality can sometimes cause her to go a little overboard. She always has the best intentions at heart. Especially when it comes to her brothers.
- Reference for voice direction:
Chalice either has a slight New york esc accent, or a west coast accent. But unlike Cuphead and Mugman, I don't actually think the voice she has in "The Cuphead Show!" would fit this iteration of Chalice. The personality and spunk is definitely similar. But I don't want Chalice to have a super high pitched voice. I feel like something along the lines of Mimzy from "Hazbin Hotel" would fit her a lot better.
