Mayor Yu is a calm man who runs Chin Village and leads the people and most importantly the festival held in honor of the great sea serpent spirit which they worship known as Shui Shui. “Well, you must admit it seems awfully suspicious for a group of strangers to show up in my town, during our festival, just as our prized scale has gone missing.”
“EXCUSE ME!? You are not familiar with the great Shui-Shui (Shoo-Way Shoo-Way)!? The great serpent spirit who gave us one of her precious scales as a blessing and a sign of good luck so long as we are in possession of it?”

Keto is a real chill guard with a positive and upbeat personality. He loves what he does and as far as he is concerned he does it well. I'm kind of looking for something within the realm of a sort of Canadian accent for him. But honestly, he's a pretty goofy character so if you can do a voice that makes me chuckle then you're well on your way to having the part.

Councilwoman Lin has been elected as the right-hand-woman of Mayor Wu and she takes the responsibility of the position of Festival Director VERY seriously. Because of this, she can come across as stern and serious, sometimes a "square." So for this voice, I'm looking for something very stoic and methodical.

Lei is an incredibly devout worshiper of the great sea serpent spirit Shui-Shui (Shoo-Way, Shoo-Way). He is a fisherman in Chin Village and is well known for coating himself in ashes every year during the festival as a way of humbling himself before the great serpent spirit. His lines are typically wailed as he cries out for "atonement."

Young is a jealous man, jealous over Councilwoman Lei's position as Festival Director, and secretly (or not so secretly) wants to steal that position from her. He is a narcissist and believes himself to be better than others and therefore has a very "hoity-toity" voice when he talks.

“Um, excuse me but could you keep your ashes to yourself sir. Yes, apologies my name is Councilman Young. I’m a bit unsure as to why I’ve been brought here before you. As a councilman the act of theft is quite beneath me so I can’t imagine any reason for me to be here at this moment.”

"Mr. Mayor, have you by chance had an opportunity to consider my offer yet?"
Wei is the rough and rowdy local blacksmith in Chin Village who has an almost atheistic, or at the very least agnostic, view towards the great sea serpent spirit that the rest of the village worships. He doesn't believe that any of it is real and the whole proceeding is a bunch of hogwash. He will have a gruff voice, but feel free to put your own spin on that.

Huan is a very stiff man who is incredibly professional in what he does which is being the right-hand man to Mayor Yu and doing whatever she needs to be done in Quinchao Village. For this voice think militaristic in nature. Very stern, very straight-to-the-point.

Old Man Gunja is a crazy old man and there's little more to say about that. His character is absolutely ridiculous and therefore his voice should match. Give me your best "crazy old man" voice and make me chuckle and you'll be on your way to voicing this part.

Niah is a traveling merchant and, like most high-society, successful merchants of his time must learn to speak with a silver tongue and therefore has a very "high society" feel to the way he speaks. This will be what I'm looking for with his voice. Incredibly poise and official.
