Batman: Under The Red Hood Scene Fandub
Project Overview
Hiyo, folks! If you popped up on this looking to audition or figure out what this is, I'm happy to have you here. I'm working on a fandub for a scene of the 2010 movie "Batman: Under The Red Hood". In my opinion, it's one of the coolest and most well-written Batman movies to ever hit the scene. The specific scene that I want to dub over is when Jason Todd (Red Hood) has Batman at gunpoint, asking him why he's let the Joker live, and how the clown has hurt so many people during his crime spree. It's such a powerful scene, and it's my favorite scene of the movie. I'm voicing Jason in this, so all I need is a Batman and a Joker. I hope that you'd be willing to lend a voice or two! I'd really appreciate it! I may ask you do more scenes with me, so please be prepared for that if you want to work on this.

Some requirements for the project:
- I need your Discord so we can chat about the project and get to know one another if you get cast!
- I'd like to have another form of social media from you so I can link to it in the video, like YouTube or Twitter! It'll be awesome if you have both.
- I'll give you a week to record your lines after I chat with you and get everything started. If you need more time, or you have any issues regarding when you can record, please let me know! I'll
- It's good to be around decent space with little to no background noise (none is preferred).
- Since I want your voices to be as clear as possible, I'd love it if you at least use a USB microphone.
- Feel comfortable while doing the voice(s) that you're trying out for. I encourage you to give this your best, and not feel pressured to do this by any means. Try to emulate and even feel like the character, based on the description and video, and that'll be one of the deciding factors.
- And this may be the last one, which will be one of the most important requirements. When you actually do the voice, try to make it sound and feel as close to the source material as possible, but also put your own twist on it.

Greetings, all! I've cast my Batman and Joker, but I want to thank you all so much for auditioning and taking the time out of your days lend your voices to this project. This isn't the end, if you didn't get a role. I'm hoping to make more, so if you want, keep an eye out for projects like this one. I hope that you all are having a great day, and are staying safe. You're all talented, and keep doing what you're doing. Thanks again!

Another Extension
Hello, all! Phenomenal job with the auditions. I want to extend this for a few more days so I can hear all the voices, and get my laptop in my house to eventually talk to the cast(ed?) folks. I've extended this until Tuesday. If I cast a bit before before then, it'll be great. I've been a bit busy in my personal life, hence the extension. But I will get to casting soon within a few days, don't worry! Thank you all so much, and best of luck to you. -
Deadline Extended! PLEASE READ!
Heyo, folks! I extended the deadline for 2 reasons: 1, so I can have more time to decide who I'll cast; and 2, I'm currently moving around, so I'm trying to deal with that. But thank you all so much for auditioning! All of you fellas are amazing, and I couldn't be happier about this! I can't wait to get this going, and don't worry if you don't get cast. I plan on working on quite a few of these, so come back for more when the chances arrive. P.S. I've already recorded for this dub, so it'll be easier for me to put everything together after it's all said and (eventually) done. Bruce Wayne, (also known to crime as Batman) is the main character, alongside Red Hood, and he's been dealing with the guilt of his greatest failure: The Joker brutally murdering Jason Todd, his second Robin. He's trying to fight crime and figure out who the Red Hood is. His voice in this movie has an older feel to it. He's voiced by Bruce Greenwood (would ya look at that, Bruce was voiced by Bruce). I'd prefer it if you can do Bruce Greenwood's older and more sincere voice, so it can remain pretty accurate to the scene and keep its emotional weight (in terms of Batman's voice). But if you can't, you can go for Kevin Conroy's impression or a mix of the two. I'm excited to see what you bring to the table!
The first line is actually from the scene that I'm dubbing over. Here's the link, so you can hear his voice: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgW7pBKcU4k&t=5s
The second line is from Batman: Hush.
The third line is from The Dark Knight Rises. I'm looking for a confidence in your voice, as if you have faith in the future of Gotham. But keep it humble and somewhat profound.
(Attempting to reason, trying to get it through someone's head) No! God Almighty, no. It'd be too damned easy. All I've ever wanted to do is kill him. A day doesn't go by when I don't think about subjecting him to every horrendous torture he's dealt out to others, and then... end him.
(Almost nonchalant, somewhat reflective) Criminals, by nature, are a cowardly and superstitious lot.
(Calm, certain of the future) Sometimes the truth isn’t good enough, sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to have their faith rewarded.
The Joker is the Batman's arch-nemesis, and is known as the Clown Prince of Crime in the crime-ridden city of Gotham. He thrives off his run-ins with the Bat, and strives to get his attention by doing crazy things in the city. He's the reason why Jason Todd died and eventually rose to become the Red Hood. He beat him, and then blew him up inside of the warehouse that he beat him in.
Mark Hamill is THE Joker, but John DiMaggio did such a fantastic job with his unique take on the clown. He has a pretty deep and somewhat gravelly voice. It's hard to describe his voice, so here's a link to a video filled with DiMaggio's Joker scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLwXcRq388M
The first line is said by Joker in the Killing Joke comic and animated movie. He says it in a low, but eerily calm voice. When you read this one over, try to read it as if you're smiling. If you can do it, add a bone chilling Joker laugh at the end of this line.
The second line is said in Batman: The Mask of the Phantasm. I'm looking for a surprised tone in your voice, but in a "finally a challenge" way.
The third line is in the scene that this is for. Start out with the low tone, but gradually reach a point of pitched excitement. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgW7pBKcU4k&t=5s
(Eerily calm, with that creepy Joker feel to it) If I have to have a past, then I prefer it to be multiple choice.
(Surprised, but happy to have a challenge) You’re harder to kill than a cockroach on steroids!
(A low tone, gradually reaching a heightened excitement) You managed to find a way to win. But everyone still loses!
