Project Overview
"Hello and welcome to the CiRCLE Live House!"
Actually, welcome to the BanG Dream! ★ English Cover Party!! project! My name is Pond, I'm going to be your lyricist should you decide to join me. Bandori is one of my favorite games and I love translating lyrics, so I figured why not make a cover channel for their songs and covers alike? And maybe even their stories...? I wanted to put together a group that shared my love for the game so we could all work together to make a great thing like this!
Voice Acting and Singing
In the future, I might consider starting to voice stories, but the only voice acting that will be done for the start of this project are gacha lines (You know how before you get a 4*, the character shouts something before you see the card? That,) to start off covers as well as maybe the occasional 4kona dub just for fun. The focus is singing in English with lyrics I'll be translating. Do note that you don't have to sound exactly like the original girls, as long as you are singing at your best and matching the vibe we want, you'll have a chance. There will be belting, there will be strong vocals, and I do hope you can pull through with them if you audition.
Editing and Mixing
I'm going to be frank, I have barely any mixing skills and no editing skills whatsoever. So, I'll need your help! Mixers and editors one and all who love idols can come and help! Nothing fancy, just enough to make us sound good and look good, you know?
Additional Lyricists
I do plan to be the main lyricist, but having things like second opinions and helping hands would make writing even easier and faster. I don't expect you to write full songs should you audition for this role, most of your job will be helping me write and correcting my lyrics either offline or in call however I won't be upset if you do want to be more hands on to write your own things!
To Audition...
★ Please be 16+, maturity is important! I won't stop you from auditioning if you're younger, but do note your chances significantly decrease the younger you are.
★ Follow deadlines, please, they won't be hard set because I know how busy life can get and this is a loose project, but unless you have a real reason to be a month late on recordings, edits, etc. please try your best not to hard miss.
★ Have decent quality all around. Good mics for singers, well mixed audio and editing, or quality translations/critiques for lyrics. While this isn't a serious project, I don't want this to be a crap job.
★ Singers should have no background noise in their recordings, as well as no backing track to their singing. Just you, please and thank you!
★ Leave your discord in the replies, and, just so I know you read this and aren't just skipping around, let me know who your best girl is. Just say you don't have a best girl or your favorite waifu if you're not into Bandori :)
Some Additional Things
★ There will only be five singers: The original five vocalists of the game - Kasumi, Yukina, Ran, Aya, and Kokoro. LAYER and Mashiro are both great characters, but I want to stick to OGs at least for now. Sorry!
★ You as a singer may need to sing additional songs to assist in harmonies, ensembles, duets, etc. This is only if you want to, of course, but do keep that in mind! You'll also assist lightly in the lyrics portion, just so that you'll have a good understanding of what you'll be singing.
★ Your voice acting doesn't have to be perfect. Past the introduction part, you'll only do small one-liners to start videos so don't worry too much lol
★ You'll be singing mostly game size covers for ease of the lyricist(s), meaning only the first verse and chorus. If in the future there's demand for full versions and I have time, we might do full covers, but that's no guarantee.
★ The vocal guides are not to be followed exactly to a tee in terms of pitch and tempo and everything else. They should be used as references to the lyrics so you know how I intended them to sound as I wrote them. Don't confide yourself to my guide beyond that!
★ You can audition for as many singers as you want, but you'll only get one however if you can also mix or edit I highly encourage you to audition there as well! Only if you want to, of course.
★ This project is looking for one or two mixers and two or three editors. You'll be talking to me often enough to discuss things about projects, critiques, etc! However, if many people audition I'm open for more.
★ The more audios/edits/lyrics/critiques you send, the more likely I am to accept you as a mixer, editor, or lyricist, however you should put your full effort in all of them. Quality over quantity!

Cheerful and high-spirited, Kasumi is a playful, active, and generally positive girl that always finds something to be excited or passionate about. She easily makes friends and gets along with everyone, regardless of their personality. (Taken from the BanG Dream! Wikia)
As stated, voice-wise, Kasumi should be upbeat and carefree, as well as a little playful. Stay in a high-medium range and be sure to sound like the most cheerful person you know!
Her singing voice is strong and popping. In this role you'll sing a pretty wide variety of vibes and lyrics from pop-punk and upbeat to intense and strong to straight up pop. She's arguably the most flexible in terms of style and your voice should reflect that.

While Ran has no particular interests, she is strong-willed and hates losing, and is the type of person to treasure her childhood friends and family deeply. Ran's voice is pretty low compared to the other girls, a little monotone and cool as well. She's a little awkward and aloof, but her friends know what she means and that's enough for her. Like I said, medium-low and cool, but also just a little awkward. You came to sing and play guitar, not talk, you know?
Ran's singing voice is astoundingly clear and, of course, powerful. Afterglow's the definition of rock and goes as hard as their leader does, though they do have their more toned down and fun songs. Ran's got a wonderful head voice and knows how to belt like a rockstar, show that off here!

On the outside, Aya is very cheerful, high-spirited, and bubbly. She is also very nice and has always been in love with idols. She is unselfish in her pursuits, helping others for the sake of being kind. (Taken from the BanG Dream! Wikia)
Aya's voice is high and cute as you'd expect of an idol, energetic and bubbly though not to same degree of Kasumi or Kokoro. She's got a friendly, medium-high voice that's not as pitched as Kokoro but not as midtoned as Kasumi. Find the middle ground and bring our your inner idol!
Her voice is soft and sweet, melodic and warm. She doesn't have the power the others pack but makes up for that in her great tone. Airy and, again, soft, but still clear as day. The music she sings is, as you guessed, idol-y. Cute and fun, but more on the sweet side than the bouncing crazy Hello, Happy World provides, just do your best to sing like a popstar and you've got it!

An idealistic and charismatic young girl coming from a ridiculously rich family, Kokoro dreams of making the entire world smile from music. She effortlessly attracts others to her due to her bright and bubbly nature and often manages to get them swept up into her easygoing pace.
Somehow, Kokoro beats out Kasumi in pure energy. The girl's made of sunshine and rainbows with a bright voice that makes anyone smile. Her voice is pretty high pitched and childish, but I think what matters more is how well you can convey the bubbliness of the happiest girl on earth.
Kokoro's singing voice is light and cute, but full of energy and punch when the beat drops. She's got a very cute voice that likes to pitch and has a certain airiness that the other girls don't have. She sings carefree, upbeat, and energetic music that ranges from just happy to wild and crazy and maybe a little stupid. Just have fun with her, and show off both your high energy emotions and naturally cute voice!

Yukina is a cold-blooded, fierce and passionate girl. She has a cutthroat attitude towards reaching her goals, expects nothing less than perfect, and takes practice very seriously. Because of this, she has no qualms with chiding or insulting someone if she feels they are underperforming. She is openly dismissive to people she deems below her standards. She and Ran compete in cool and collected, however hers is effortless. She has a low-medium voice that's very serious and cold, though it doesn't feel forced on her. She is fond of a few select things like her bandmates and cats, but even then the only indication of that is a small smile on her face. Cool and collected, don't forget!
Yukina's singing voice is practiced and powerful. She's arguably the hardest singer here, her talent shows through her superior technique. Falsettos, belts, etc. are all easy for her, it's scary sometimes. You don't have to match her 100%, but if there's a diva in you, you really have to let it out to match her. Roselia's songs are generally serious and strong, just like her, so be prepared to use that belt to your best ability.

You'll be editing videos for the covers to post on Youtube and Instagram! These videos won't be any longer than two minutes in most cases. We'll talk about it more once you get accepted, but it really won't be more than you want to do! A standard lyrics video is more than enough!
Leave any videos you'd like to show me here. To reiterate, this is a cover group, so if you have things like lyric videos, idol stuff, etc. it's best to show those but I won't be picky. Thank you so much!
I'm looking for two or three video editors, so this role will only be casted when we find all we need.
Say something you think would fit
You'll be helping me write English translations of the Bandori songs and covers! This can go from critiquing and advice to straight up translating songs on your own time. Most of the time, they'll only be game sized so there won't be too much worry.
There are two ways to audition for this:
1. Critique one of the lyrics written by me above in the auditions. Constructively, of course. You're free to correct them as you like to improve the song and its quality.
2. Leave your own translations you'd like to show me here. They can be of any genre and language, but preferably idol/Japanese are preferred since that is what this is based on.
Both should be sent via Google doc if possible. If you have multiple examples, put them in one doc, please and thank you!
I'm looking for maybe two lyricists, so this role will only be casted when we find all we need.

You'll be mixing audio as backing tracks, harmonies, and solos are turned in! Bandori does in fact have a lot of harmonies and ensemble stuff, so just because this is a five person group, that doesn't mean you'll only be doing solo edits. Don't worry though, covers will be game sized, only about 2 minutes, so you'll be fine!
Leave any audios you'd like to show me here. This can be voice lines too, since you'll also be mixing the occasional one liner, however I do want more music examples, especially those in the idol genre.
