Bandmates is a dating sim visual novel in a set of videos that's a HUGEEEE passion project of mine!
It stars a trio of guys that formerly use to be in a band together, but broke up due to various "creative differences" after one of the band members sudden dissapearance. these reasons were left ambiguous and were covered up by the media. The MC is a big fan of theirs, and wants to learn the truth of what happened to their heroes, while trying to get them to settle their differences and formally organize a final "Farewell Tour" before they manage to break into another fight with each other! And who knows, maybe you'll get attached to one of these goobers along the way! Or maybe..just maybe....you'll learn the truth of what latching onto the past does to not only yourself, but to the people around you.

Name: Emile Lockhart
Age: 34
Pronouns: He/Him
Emile is the lead singer and guitarist of the band. He is very cocky and arrogant, appearing very calm and charismatic on stage but can be quite temperamental behind the scenes. The self proclaimed "leader" of the band due to his popularity, he takes that title VERY seriously. Has a habit of being very stuck in the past and trying to constantly go back to his "glory days". He has a habit of starting arguments with the other band members and blaming others for minor inconveniences.
His voice should be mid-range and speak in a cool and suave tone, with a hint of jerklike smugness.

Name: Ray Diggs
Age: 32
Pronouns: He/Him
Ray is the bass player and keyboardist for the band, depending on what's needed. His head is always in the clouds, processing the world a few steps behind, but being sure to appreciate life for all of its ups and downs. A bit spacey, often being labeled as something along the lines of a hippie. Very receptive to changes in people, and is much wiser and mature than he let's on. Often the voice of reason to many's surprise. Bothered by how everyone labels him as stupid, but doesn't vocalize it often.
His voice should be a mid-higher range, and he speaks slowly with a valley boy accent.

Eric is the drummer of the band. He's very much the strong silent type, being very reserved and often aloof to most people. Appears very antisocial and often has trouble voicing how he truly feels, having a habit of being very in his head about things. Has a reputation for being very snippy and blunt with people. Has a large soft spot for cats. Emile and Ray often tease him for being the youngest, viewing him as almost an awkward little brother figure.
His voice should be in the mid-low range and have a slightly softer tone to it. He mostly speaks in short direct sentences until he gets more comfortable with someone.

Serena is the manager of the band. She's friendly, calm, but occasionally serious. A big tech nerd, having a great interest in hacking in her spare time. Feels responsible and very guilty for not being able to have handled the band's rockier phases as well as she would have hoped. Close friend of the MC
Serena's voice should be in the mid vocal range, and she speaks in a faintly softer tone.
Note: Serena is black, so please only audition for her if you are yourself!

Ervin is an eccentric, overenthusiastic man that jumps job to job, currently settling as a Security Guard. He has very stiff mannerisms, and has a tendency to have very poor volume control. He takes orders VERY seriously and is overall curt but polite. He has a hard time keeping his cool and staying levelheaded under pressure, often causing problems for those around him, physically or mentally. He can be rather clumsy at times. He has a tendency to call everyone "sir" or "ma'am"
Ervin's voice should be in the mid-higher pitched range, and speaks in a faster and almost stiff way, as if he was at an army boot camp. You need to be ok with yelling/screaming a LOT for this role, as he's a very loud and eccentric person.

Doesn't mind getting into shady business behind the scenes to keep her role. Very sweet and kind in front of paparazzi but has a very harsh temper and snaps rather easily. She's very controlling and very calculative despite her usual false friendly demenor
Trixie speaks in a mid-lower pitched range with a strong southern accent. For this role you will be able to need to flip flop between a friendly and aggressive tone easily.

Garreg is a time traveler that settled down and became musician out of mere boredom. Due to the fact that he has been trapped in various time periods, he greatly struggles with keeping up with things like slang, current trends, etc. His music style is a creative mix of late 70s synth pop and 90s grunge rock. Hes very monotone and often has an exhausted and tired air about him. He has forgotten his age due to the complications of time travel, but he appears to be in his late 50s.
Garreg's voice should be low-baritone range, sounding gruff but smooth. He speaks in a slower, calculative tone.

Valentine is the CEO of a very popular music label. He helps many various musicians kick off their career but can be very controlling in terms of his contracts. He's overall a flirtatious but confident man, trying to be more of a polite gentleman to most. He tends to keep a calm head and cares greatly about his business.
Valentine's voice should be in the medium-lower range, a smoother but softer tone, faintly raspy due to his aging but not too severe. His tone should have a sense of elegant charm and charisma to it.

A pop idol who's never been seen without her mascot head. Very peppy and upbeat, she constantly yaps on and on about making people smile. Many speculate what she looks like without her mascot head gimmick, but no one has (knowingly) seen her face before. There is a rumor that goes around that her mannerisms are overly fake and condescending, but she really is just as ditzy and positive as she seems, no ulterior motives. Became very popular due to her collabs with other artists, so she's constantly latching into contracts with other musicians.
Aika's voice should be in the higher pitched range, like a woman trying a little too hard to sound cutesy and friendly. She should speak in a faster, excitable pace for most of her lines.

Very egotistical and theatrical, having a strange fixation at getting "revenge" for their failed music career by attempting to take down with as many musicians as possible, regardless of their popularity. Very neurotic and prone to throwing tantrums at the most minor inconveniences, but a scientific genius, to many's surprise, having made various inventions related to time travel and transportation portals. Some even speculate that he isn't from this universe, but is secretly trying to find his way back home...
Serko's voice should be in the higher pitched range, sounding nasally and whiny. Think bumbling cartoon villains. This role requires lots of yelling and vocal fluctuation, so please consider that. They also curse much more than other characters.

Has a very smug demeanor, and comes off as condescending very often.
Aster should speak in a medium low tone, for adult-senior female, her voice being slightly nasally, but charismatic. She speaks in a quick manner for lots of her lines, like smooth talking, trickster-like salesman of sorts, not letting others get a word in often.

But they are not nearly as cool as they think they are, often crying over said music (they'll never admit it)
Jett's voice should be slightly androgynous but can be either masc or femme in nature, as I will accept auditions on a wider scale. They should speak in a very other the top, pompous manner at almost all times, sort of like the "chuunibyou" trope. They attempt to make their voice sound posh.
Note: Please only audition for Jett if you are black or Indian!
