Baker's Bargain Audiobook (ensemble cast)
Project Overview
Deep in nowhereville-Oklahoma, a pair of Bakers struggle to keep their shop profitable. They hire a witch to make an enchantment, that will guarantee their success.
The enchantment, however comes with a price.
Therice becomes Piper Simmons' apprentice, though she is under the impression that she is Piper's granddaughter. She learns magic, but is forced out of her comfort zone by strange shadow monsters that consume magic and spy with their glittering charcoal eyes.
Where will Therice's journey take her? Will she confront her past and mold her future, or will she get burned by it in the end?
What is this project?:
This is an audiobook project, the book is written by me and you can read it as the episodes are released on youtube, if you'd like to follow our project!
http://www.youtube.com/@disem.bodilysvoice (this will take you to the youtube channel)
https://www.wattpad.com/story/404455587-baker%27s-bargain (this will take you to the story, where the first chapter is posted, at the moment.)
We do not use or encourage AI, and strive to spotlight Indie authors, we want to platform people of all ethnicities and orientations.
When are we doing this?:
We will begin recording as soon as we have casting for the characters, and the first episodes will be released in March of 2026.
Additional Guidance:
-Please provide a clean demo/audition
-Feel free to do multiple takes of audition lines
-Please reach out if you have any questions about delivery.
-Time commitment for most characters (except Therice, Kiruna and Piper) should be fairly low
all photos are pulled from google and meant to give an idea about who the character is. I have no idea who these people and cats are. Though I wish I knew the cats.
-When this expires, it will be reposted, assuming all roles have not been filled. AI actors are not going to be cast. Using AI is not acting.-
