Avengers: Parousia | A Marvel Universe Fan Film
Project Overview
Synopsis: The Avengers are at their lowest they have ever been. Tony Stark has felt nothing but guilt for his actions in the past, while keeping it a secret. At the same time, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are working on an initiative that will globalize the Avengers. Not until Cable, a hero from the future, goes to the past and warns them about the dangers of Kang the Conqueror must he act now before he bends the world to his knee.
This project is a labor of love for not only the Avengers but for the Marvel universe that many creators in the comic industry have helped craft. This story will be roughly around 40-42 minutes long and will contain an intermission and an overture to help set the tone of the movie. Before I ever started working on the screenplay for this movie, I approached it as a globe-trotting epic from classic Hollywood, drawing inspiration from movies like Ben-Hur, Lawrence of Arabia, and The Great Escape. The story will be told in stop motion, a medium that has gained a momentum of interest over the years from movies like ‘Coraline’, ‘Fantastic Mr.Fox’, and Del Toro’s ‘Pinocchio.’
While telling this story will be an experience for people like me, crew members, and voice actors, the task of telling this story will be no easy feat, as this is a project that would require all hands on deck. Before listing the names of talents that would be required for this story to be told, note that this project is non-profit, meaning no one would be making money from it, and would encourage anyone interested in this project to come into it with passion and a drive to share this story in the best quality possible. The discussion of whether this project will be submitted to film festivals is currently ongoing, but given how these characters are existing IP from another company, the chances of this movie going into a film festival are extremely low. Once the final cut of the movie is completed, it will then be uploaded to YouTube for anyone to see and for free.
