AVAGLV Masters Division

AVAGLV Masters Division

Project Overview

If you're seeing this, then congratulations! You've been invited to audition for this year's LVLUP Expo 2023 Master's Division!

This is your chance to show off! Unlike the Advanced Division, we will be running a scene anywhere between 5-12 minutes long with no scripts on stage. This will also be done LIVE, meaning the backing effects and music will be playing in real time alongside your performance. Lastly, you would be performing alongside the Titans, being us coaches, for the brand new coveted title of King of the Ring, in which you would don the crown until the next year’s competition. Ultimately, this is the equivalent of a halftime show for the attendees at the competition, so to make this more interesting I’m opening up the chance to audition for the Master’s Division to all of you. If you think you’ve got what it takes, I encourage you to do your best and shoot for the moon! Audition for as many roles as you like because some of you will be double cast!

Roles are categorized as either Very Easy, Novice, Intermediate, Challenging, or Advanced based on the amount of screen time and dialogue they have. We also take into account the nuances that you have to portray with each character.

If you are unable to submit your auditions with a mic setup at home and would prefer a live audition, you can message me on discord at JACKABOY#8193 to set up a time to call, or a time to meet for in person auditions.

Teen Titans Go! Raven

Unpaid

Difficulty: Advanced

Total Lines: 10+ Lines of Dialogue, minimal effort sounds

Characteristics: Low tone, utilizes focal fry. GO! Raven tends to use more emotion in her voice than her OG counterpart, but she still maintains the air of not wanting to be here.

  • (dejected, worried) But Robin, you don't understand. I can't fight.

  • I don't really feel like fighting you guys, so I'm just gonna go. You can have this one.

  • (chuckles) Yeah, tell me about it.

Difficulty: Intermediate

Total Lines: 5+ Lines of Dialogue, minimal effort sounds

Characteristics: Low tone, utilizes focal fry. OG Raven is a bit more on the monotone scale, maintaining very few peaks and valleys (save for her more intense moments). She doesn't want to be here as much as her GO! Counterpart.

Voice description:
  • androgynous
  • I spent a lot of time battling my own inner demons. This is kinda annoyingly literal.

  • (gasps) Her gem... Raven, calm down before you lose control of yourself.

  • Azarath metrion ZYNTHOS!

Teen Titans Go! Beast Boy

Difficulty: Challenging

Total Lines: 11+ Lines of Dialogue, plus effort sounds and shrieks

Characteristics: Loud, obnoxious, excitable. Medium pitch. GO! Beast Boy is too energetic for his own good, be prepared to give a couple shrieks!

  • (excited) Ooh! Is there an earth where we're all mermaids?!

  • (agitated) Yo, unless those games comes with video, puts us back in our house!

  • (deseprate, fearful) Ah! Raven, I'm coming to save you!

Difficulty: Very Easy

Total Lines: 4 Lines of Dialogue, minimal effort sounds.

Characteristics: A little more serious, but still wacky and fun like his GO! counterpart. He may not have as many lines, but his lines make statements. This can easily be a show-stealer role.

  • Aww, I can't squash this little guy, look at him!

  • (dizzy) Ouch...

  • [Give me your best Beast Boy scream!]

Teen Titans Go! Robin

Difficulty: Advanced

Total Lines: 10+ LONG Lines of Dialogue, plus effort sounds and screaming

Characteristics: Cocky, loudmouthed. Teen Titans GO! Robin is much more of a jerk, less noble and more desperate to be the best. He frequently dogs on and yells at his team mates, so bring that selfish energy!

  • (increasingly excited) Oh, I get it! Here, we're heroes, but on another earth, we might be villains! Or robots! Or medieval knights!

  • (annoyed) Uh, I'm pretty sure WE'RE the serious versions of us!

  • (mockingly at first) The IMPORTANT thing is (angry) we need Raven to turn this around!

Difficulty: Intermediate

Total Lines: 7+ Lines of Dialogue, plus effort sounds

Characteristics: Classic Robin is noble, and he definitely knows how to lead a team. He's determined. He's got a lot more focused passion than his chibi counterpart. Rather than insecurity, we want confidence! You're the leader of the Titans after all!

  • Look, I don't know what to call you! (kicks TTG Robin) Would you rather Toy Robin? Shorter Robin? Bobblehead Robin?

  • (confused) Y'know, I thought they were the baby versions of us, I think they're the jerk versions of us?

  • (low, foreboding) That can't be good...

Teen Titans Go! Starfire
open
Unpaid

Difficulty: Intermediate

Total Lines: 10+ Short Lines of Dialogue, plenty of effort sounds

Characteristics: GO! Starfire is just as, if not more so, excitable as her OG counterpart. She can hit a very high pitch in her voice, and she does quite a lot of screaming.

  • (very excited) Glorious!

  • (blankly) On your Earth, do you have a Silkie?

  • (as menacing as she can be) And how do we get it to cease?!

Difficulty: Easy/Intermediate

Total Lines: 5+ Lines of Dialogue, a LOT of effort sounds.

Characteristics: Higher vocal pitch, chews her words. Both Starfires have similar delivery in that they're both a little clueless. Classic Starfire is just as excited as GO! Starfire, so try your best to maintain a fun, light, and bubbly demeanor when onstage!

  • (blankly) On your Earth, do you have a Silky?

  • (menacing) And how to we cause it to cease?!

  • [Give me a Starfire battle cry!]

Teen Titans Go! Cyborg
open
Unpaid

Difficulty: Intermediate

Total Lines: 7+ Lines of Dialogue, extreme effort sounds

Characteristics: Deeper pitch, speaks a lot faster than the other characters. For both Cyborgs, you have to be able to get loud without overwhelming your cast mates. Go! Cyborg in particular is always at 110%.

  • (teasing Robin) Now look at your short self, three heads, tops!

  • (flying around, taunting) Woo! Oop, you almost got me!

  • You'd think that, but then a few months from now, you'll still be finding glitter in your house, and you'll be all "Curse that other Cyborg!"

Characteristics: Deeper pitch, speaks a lot faster than the other characters. For both Cyborgs, you have to be able to get loud without overwhelming your cast mates. OG Cyborg in particular is always a little bit more nuanced in his lines.

  • (frustrated) This is all just a silly game to you guys, isn't it?!

  • (determined) Time to bring out the big guns...

  • [Give me a trademarked "Booyah!"
