Project Overview

AUTOMATICA is a series about a genius lesbian engineer named Frankie who runs a business for repairing various machines. She is accompanied by Mary Beth, a cyborg housemaid, and her self-built robot girlfriend, Jen. The three will unfortunately find themselves in trouble indirectly caused by a supervillain rock band called 'DO NO EVIL' who are simply villains 'just because'. The band is made up of the egotistical and flashy Cosmo Nova, and his clever punk boyfriend, Jerrie.

  • Auditions Close at Midnight!!

    Hello everyone! How's your summer been?🌞🌴

    Submissions will be closed at midnight! If you were looking to audition you better get it in before 12:00 AM EST! I have went over all current submissions for Frankie, Jen, and Mary over the past month and will be casting them at the end of the week! I still have to do Cosmo and Jerrie however lol.

    Once they're casted, I will get in contact with everyone and hopefully take a big step forward into finishing off the storyboard/script and having it fully voiced! Thank you to everyone who has and will audition! 🤡🎉

    Its not even the end of the day for me but i've received so many talented and amazing submissions so far. I've been listening to them all by sneaking away from work and i'm genuinely so happy to see life be given to these characters!

    This is only the first set of auditions. More characters are set to be listed, but I want to complete the main cast right now, so call this a part 1 of casting! Part 2 will have side characters, both as one offs and recurring! The reason I am doing auditions like this is to not have an entire branch of characters on a first project [and especially on the first day lol].

Frankie is a self-taught genius engineer, but very socially awkward. She can only be herself freely around those who are close to her, mostly her girlfriend Jen. She is the founder of her own repair company named HELIX FIX, with the goal to make as much of her own money as possible.

Frankie has a mid-pitch nasally voice, almost leaning on nerdy. She has a slight black accent and frequently uses the term 'holmes' in her talking. She is also very whiny at times.

Mary Beth is a woman stuck in the 1900s. She may look like a robot, but her brain is actually inside that computer head, and she's stayed a sassy housewife since.

She has the flair of a woman in the 1950s. A motherly-type with a bit of sass and country. She projects her voice very loudly when talking normally and talking quieter is more like 'whisper screaming' for her. She has a sharp tone, and speaks faster than most people, tends to yap as well. [Note: She will have a slight robot filter on her voice, this will be added by me.]

No software requirements, but I'd prefer for your voice to be clear with no background noise.

Cosmo has a very noticeable British accent, reminiscent of David Bowie but much more louder in tone.

Jerrie is the other half of the famous rock band, DO NO EVIL. Even though his looks are intimidating, Jerrie himself is a very chill and clever person. He is an avid socialist who supports everyone. He is usually the one behind the plans and gadgets of the duos evil plans, and sometimes the brains to Cosmo's brawn. Despite this, he is very selfish when it comes to things he wants.

His voice is mid-range and smooth, with a slight german accent. At times, he is also able to go deeper in tone.

[It is highly preferred that a trans man takes on this role, as Jerrie is also a trans man!]

Jen is a robot created by Frankie with the sole purpose to be her girlfriend. Jen is usually quiet and neutral, and only speaks when Frankie talks to her or to give information. Because of this, people assume she is emotionless and her love for Frankie is just programmed, but she actually holds real feelings past her purpose and wants to express them in some way.

Jen is deep-pitched, monotone female voice, like a robot.
