[Auditions & Applications] Sonic and Jenny Taylor (Rare Collection Personalities)
Project Overview
I'm Tom Isom, creative director for the Rare Collection, and I'm looking for people to voice two personalities: The Taylors, Sonic, and Jenny.
Sonic Taylor (1944-2010) was a radio personality and television announcer known for hosting Giant 40 on syndicated radio from 1983 to 1995. Born as James Taylor Waltrip in Athens, GA, in 1944, he had an early interest in radio DJing. He moved to Atlanta in 1966 to work for 790 WQXI. He later moved to Los Angeles in 1971 to work for various radio stations, including 790 KABC, 930 KHJ, and 1110 KRLA. He had big and small community radio & TV projects done until his untimely death in a car crash in 2010.
Jenny Taylor (born 1952) was a session singer and voiceover artist. Born as Jennifer Amy Rose in Atlanta, GA, in 1952, she is a confident soprano who, in her teen years, learned voice and blending from a choir director. She married her husband, Sonic, in 1971. They later moved to Hollywood, to session sing in backup choruses for music, scores for film & TV, even jingles.
Presented here are these two roles you can audition for. Good luck.

For this role, try to imitate Sonic's Roger Craig Smith voice, but put it in a slightly lower register, similar to the Cartoon Network channel voiceover from, well, today. https://youtu.be/X9z_w2BUXH8?si=IQZEtypheZh8HT7_
