Why hello, people out there!
After I bought the Manga "A Lollypop or a Bullet" a good month ago, I thought it would be nice to have it as an audio drama. And thus, I decided to create one and am now looking for people who'd like to voice the characters^^
I already posted a casting call at the VAA (mostly because I didn't know about this site), but sadly, I didn't get all the roles I need. So here we go.
About the story: The story is told from the viewpoint of young Yamada Nagisa. Nagisa is meeting Umino Mokuzu, a girl who transfered to her school and quickly proves herself to be more than a little weird. After being annoyed by her at first, Nagisa slowly realizes that Mokuzu is more than just the weird urban "princess" she seems to be.
Now then: I’m looking forward to your samples. If you’ve got any questions, feel free to ask.
Since I’m German and thus own the German version of the manga, I mostly used the translation from mangafox for my script and only changed the text when it completely contradicted the German version or if there are continuity errors. This happens a few times towards the end of the story, but all in all the text is unchanged.
As I already said, I look forward to your samples.

Male extras. They mostly appear in form of students, but there are also some older men (for example a middle aged bus driver).
I want to work! I never wanted to go to school to begin with!

Female extras. Same situation as with the male ones. Mostly students, but also some elder women.
I haven’t seen him since I was a middle school student!
(whispering) I heard her father was arrested for abusing drugs.
If you ask me, I say choosing the school’s uniform is what’s important, don’t you think?
13 years-old, appears in chapter 1, 2, 8, 10, 13.
One of Nagisa’s classmates. She has a high opinion of herself and is quick to judge others.
(snobbish) “As a young lady, it’s only right that I attend Seiran High School.”
(amused) “She actually said “bow”!”
(annoyed) “That girl came here to meet Nagisa? Coming at this time… Does she want to stand out that much?”
13 years-old, appears in all 13 chapters.
The main character as well as narrator of the story. Having lost her father at the age of 3 and seing her brother becoming a shut-in, she decides it would be best to become adult as quickly as possible, so she can work and take care of both her brother and herself. Has a very limited sense of humor, but can become snarky at times.
(narration) "Aren’t they amazing? They could go on forever aimlessly talking about pointless subjects. Even I’m beginning to admire them for it."
(annoyed) "You’re annoying. No matter who it is, it’s just impossible for someone to disappear from a room. That’s what my brother said."
(angry) "I… I am her friend! How could you say such horrible things about your own child?!"
Mid 40, appears in chapter 1, 3, 9, 12, 13.
As you may have thought, Nagisa’s mother. An upbeat lady who works at a supermarket to make a living for herself and her two children.
(cheerfuly gossiping) “It seems he came back to town recently. I heard that he was invited back to work as a composer of sorts. Apparently, he also has a daughter.”
(serious) “Oh, well… He really was weird. How do you put it… He’s eccentric? He was a neurotic and restless person… It could get quite troublesome for the people around him.”
(“angry-parent-mode”) “Nagisa? You’re late. Even though your teacher came here to see us…”
