"Eddie Hood lives a typical life. He spends time with his friends, reads books, and takes care of his cat. Life turns upside down for him when his intelligence nets him a scholarship to the prestigious Harker High School, an academy designed to teach the brightest young minds of the future. Now, not only does he have to navigate his Senior year at a new school, but he must also keep his head above water as one of the few humans in a school full of monsters. His encounters with the most powerful students in the school, the Big Six, will cement the strangeness of his new life. Will he get through the year? May he even find love? IDK, probably, this is a dating sim."
Attending the Monster School: A Modern Magical Dating Sim is a self-referential commentary dating sim that I am currently developing. It is a short parody game with a light horror theme (because I have exactly one niche) and lots of tongue-and-cheek jokes at the expense of, and paying homage to the genre.
Who I'm Looking For:
I need some voice actors to voice the main characters in this game. Not every line will be voiced (I am only one man and coding is hard), but important moments will have fully voiced lines, and most lines will have simple audio interjections, similar to the audio stylings of the mystery visual novel series Danganronpa.
All auditioners must be aged 16+. This is non-negotiable.
What I'm Looking For:
Good audio quality (Doesn’t need to be perfect, and won’t be the main deciding factor, but quality audio is better)
Ability to stick to a schedule and record by deadlines
Must have a Discord account for communication (I also recommend joining the casting Discord linked below)
No recording format required, but AABBCC is preferred (That gives me a better feel for your emotional range)
Most Important: Ability to portray the characters well and act with skill.
What’s in it for you?:
As this will be a full game that will be released on sites like Steam and Itch.io (potentially for a price, which we will determine), you will be compensated for your work and credited accordingly. Each role will be paid $20/hour, for roughly an hour’s worth of recording time (Give or take a few). Also, anyone who works on this project will receive a free copy of the game in the event that it costs money.
Additional Information:
As mentioned earlier, this game incorporates horror elements throughout, and certain moments are heavier than others (The rivals of this game become a little unhinged near the end). If you are not comfortable with depictions and descriptions of gore, this project is likely not for you. Also, this game will be protected under an unofficial NDA. I won’t make you sign anything, but keep the information surrounding any spoilers to yourself, just for my sanity. This project will be closed on October 15, 2025, and recording will begin immediately after selection.

The protagonist of the game and the one getting all the ladies, Eddie is a pretty standard dude. He's human, which is pretty rare at Harker High, but that's not the only thing that separates him from his fellow students. He's also attending the school on scholarship, making him much less wealthy than many of his peers.
Eddie is kind and always looking to help. You may think his ostracisation from his classmates would make him docile and reserved, but instead it emboldens him to be even kinder. Each route starts because he shows genuine empathy to the girls he dates. Despite his understanding nature, he is a little dumb. He's a little naive, but he is always trying his best. Lots of luck is involved in his surviving this school year.
His voice has a medium/high masculine pitch. A similar voice claim would be Makoto Naegi from Danganronpa and Hanako from Toilet-Bound Hanako Kun (English VAs for both).

One of the three love interests, Isabella Cardigan, is a delightful individual to be around. This happy Feleene doesn't care what background you come from; she will be respectful and kind to you. She is a brilliant artist, capable of creating paintings that elicit emotional reactions from all viewers.
Isabella is a bubbly and upbeat person. She always tries to make sure people feel welcome. She doesn't always understand what it's like not to be uber wealthy, but she tries to bridge that gap where she can. Since she was young, she was unofficially, officially engaged to Roman Cashmere and grew up alongside him. Where he is unendingly rude and abrasive, she tries to smooth over his poor attitude.
Isabella has a slight country accent, with a medium/higher feminine pitch. Similar voice claims would be Apple Jack from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and Millie from Helluva Boss.

"Frankly Roman, I think you're being a little unfair." (Scolding)
"I don't quite understand it, but I love you. I've never felt this way about anyone before." (Confused, but happy)
One of the three love interests, Cammry Blazer, is a confident woman who don't need no man. This Fluidian class president runs the school with such precision that the principal barely needs to do their job. She only has one weakness: she has no idea what a romance is and gets horribly flustered when anything romantic enters the conversation. If this happens, she becomes defensive and hostile, and just a little tsundere.
Cammry is confident in her decisions. As a student body president, she is decisive and quick to decide what will best serve the students of the school. Though she stands as the face of the Academy, she is not afraid to play dirty to get what she wants. She has a particular deal with a certain Issac Trench, detailing how he is to help her obtain compliance from the other students using his intimidating nature. She may only be a school politician, but she is still just as crooked as any other politician.
Cammry has a medium/lower, feminine-pitched voice. She doesn't have any specified accent, so anything will work. Similar voice claims are Azazel Ameri in Welcome to Demon School Iruma-Kun, and V from Murder Drones.
"Happy to have you on the team. Together we're going to take over the school!" (Overconfident)
"Don't worry Issac, you're my business partner. Nothing is going to change that." (Comforting)

One of the three love interests, Adora Vest, is an expert on all things athletic. As the head of practically every sports team at the school (lacrosse knows what it did to her), she is a danger to any opposing team she plays against. She's a Wood-Elf, but she couldn't be further from the serene Elf stereotype.
Adora is the definition of a tomboy. She's boisterous and loud, speaking her mind whenever she sees fit. She has a bit of a tumultuous relationship with her twin brother, Alvin Vest, but, despite her occasional ridicule of him, she does care for him quite a lot.
Adora has a medium, feminine, pitched voice, but she is very expressive, and her mood changes frequently. Simlar voice claims to Adora are Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Uzi Doorman from Murder Drones.
"You got moxie Ed, I'll hand it to you. If you want, we could train together, that way you're ready when try-outs come." (Impressed)
"Lay off him, Alvin. He's not causing you any trouble. Why don't you go solve for X, or whatever you do." (Annoyed, and a little angry)
"Yeah, I like you. I thought I was making that abundantly obvious." (Matter-of-fact)
Ah, Roman Cashmere. What can be said about Roman Cashmere? Well, he's a pompous, arrogant a-hole, that's what can be said. This wealthy Vampire is a brilliant poet and speaker, and he full well knows it. Everyone and everything is beneath Roman in his eyes, and he is fully willing to make that known to everyone.
One of the three rival characters, Roman, has a massive ego that has been left unchecked and even fed for his entire life. He was essentially engaged to Isabella Cardigan at a young age, and while he thinks she is a naive fool who is far too kind to people, he does care about her in his way.
Roman has a medium/high masculine voice that tends higher when he gets passionate. He has a very posh English accent, and when he laughs, he has a similar vibe to The Queen from Deltarune. A similar voice claim is Asterion from Baldur's Gate 3.
"Funny, the human thinks we need to know his name. How delightful! No, no, no, my dear peasant. You are insignificant before the powerful Roman Cashmere!" (Arrogant)
"Listen here, whelp! You stay away from Isabella. In case you haven't heard, we are engaged to be wed, so know your place." (Angry and threatening)

Poor Issac Trench, such a sensitive and misunderstood boy. He is so very emo. This quiet Werewolf is quite a skilled musician, able to write stirring pieces that can bring even the most hardened of people to tears. His quiet nature does tend to make people afraid of him, as he can come off as intimidating, but he's not that scary once you get to know him, if you can.
One of the three rivals, Issac, tends to keep to himself, only being a part of the Big Six because they have known each other since childhood. He and Cammry have a deal worked out where he acts as her intimidation factor, and he gets his own private room in the school to write his music. The only issue with this deal is the romantic feelings Issac has developed for Cammry, where she only sees him as a business partner, thus causing contention in the Cammy route of the game.
Issac has a medium, masculine voice and speaks with a German accent. He's quiet and doesn't speak often, but when he gets angry, he becomes very passionate. Similar voice claims would be Medic from Team Fortress Two and Yu Ishigami from Kaguya-sama: Love is War.
"Uh, yeah, hi. Glad you like my music." (Dismissive)
"But, wait, I was supposed to go with you to discuss our dealings with the glee club. You're going with him now?" (Confused and distraught)
"Please, if really care about the government's well being, as well as your own, stay away from Cammry." (Intimidating and threatening)
Alvin Vest isn't exactly a mean person, but he's not great at being kind. He speaks matter-of-factly and doesn't pull his punches. He is exceedingly intelligent, his specialty being mathematics and science. His discoveries in physics and statistics have advanced the progression of science more than anyone would expect from a high schooler.
One of the three rivals, Alvin, is analytical and calculating. He doesn't like things deviating from his usual plans and will get upset if things go awry. His relationship with his twin sister is one of comfort, not that he comforts her or vice versa, but she is comfortably predictable. She protects him and occasionally calls him a massive nerd, but it's always the same. That predicability being disrupted by Eddie's appearance in the Adora route of the game is what causes tension between Alvin and Eddie.
Alvin has a lower, masculine-pitched voice and speaks in a monotone and unfeeling way. Similar voice claims for Alvin are Ryoma Hoshi from Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony and Asmodeus from Helluva Boss.
