Deadline extended to 10/29/23
I decided to extend the deadline to Sunday 10/29 in order to give people more time to audition, especially for the Mayor's wife and Fox's two sons.
One day, a lonely and starving rabbit wondered into a village called Rabbitville. After inadvertently eating a radioactive carrot, he gains powers in the form of super strength and flight. Afterwards, he becomes the superhero Atomic Rabbit. In each issue, he thwarts the evil schemes of Fox (former mayor of Rabbitville) and his two sons who try to regain their seat of power as mayor.
Atomic Rabbit (later renamed Atomic Bunny after Issue #11) was created by Al Fago and made his first appearance in 1955. The character currently exists in the public domain. He is very much in the vein of Mighty Mouse, an anthropomorphic superhero that parodies and homages Superman. This comic dub project aims to bring Atomic Rabbit's story's to life through the power of voice-acting, editing, sound effects and music!
Keep in mind this is a long-term project and the characters listed on the audition page are recurring. Once the roles are cast, the comic dub videos will be posted on my Youtube channel.
Please audition in the AABBCC format and make sure your audio is clear and free of background. Also make sure to have an XLR microphone before auditioning. Leave your Discord and other forms of contact information in the auditions.
Below is a link to Atomic Rabbit issue #1, particularly read pages 19 through 26 to gain an understanding of the comic's style and tone:

Good luck and I can't wait to hear your takes on the characters!

The corrupt mayor of the town. Atomic Rabbit overthrows him in the first issue. Afterwards, he becomes the title character's recurring nemesis who attempts numerous schemes in order to regain his position of power as mayor. So keep in mind this character does appear in future issues. He is accompanied by his two sons who assist him with his schemes.
The Fox is essentially a scheming cartoon villain in the vein of Wile E. Coyote and Atomic Rabbit is his Road Runner. But...given he has two sons he's also a father and has a sort of a wholesome quality to him.
Use the following characters as references but I am open to other interpretations:
Wile E. Coyote (Looney Tunes) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Dajofh7yTs
Rintaro Okabe (Steins;Gate) - https://youtu.be/NAXT7BEUpIk?si=Vyfz5SNYAqNvlF3-&t=78
Imagine....me a fox being OUTFOXED by a rabbit!!
Come! We have no time to lose! You will carry out my plans, but remember, you must not fail [He is talking to one of his sons]
In jail again?!?!?! Alright boys, let's begin filing away these metal bars. Then tomorrow we will try my new plan to become mayor once more!
Fox has two sons that aren't given names and are only visually differentiated by the color of their overalls. This role is for the son that wears yellow overalls. He appears to be the more competent and "go-getter" of the two. While he does help his father out in his evil schemes, he's still every much an innocent child that is simply doing what his dad told him to do.
Use Miles "Tails" Prower from the Sonic franchise as a vocal reference but I am open to other interpretations.

Pop, how will you ever fit into that small suit?
Psst....look! Let's give him a chase! [He spots an innocent rabbit traveler and decides to give chase]
S'Matter Pop? You're in a awful hurry?
Fox has another son that isn't all the visually distinctive outside of wearing blue overalls. Much like Yellow Overalls, he helps his father out with his schemes against Atomic Rabbit but keep in mind he is an innocent child doing what Fox tells him to do. He appears to be the more dim-witted of Fox's two sons as well as being more of a happy-go-lucky follower than his brother.
Use the following as vocal references but I am open to other interpretations:
Phil from Rugrats - https://youtu.be/J7lYjcE2hyw?si=5xb3Hk-2FrKmDTeP
Chunk from The Goonies - https://youtu.be/hua7EQjPGJk?si=AJFTfxjZpuaP7CMc
Golly he's fast! He maybe gone, but we gave him a good chase!
Hey Pops, what are we gonna do next?
Oh boy! This is going to be fun!
The wife of the former mayor that was overthrown by Fox. She started growing carrots on their property in order to help nurse her sick husband back to health. The newly grown carrots just so happen to be radioactive and become the source of Atomic Rabbit's power. She and her husband become Atomic Rabbits main allies.
Here are vocal references but I am open to other interpretations:
Sandy Cheeks from Spongebob Squarepants - https://youtu.be/vx_aQMgyN_Y?si=QEVpmb4NlVam8lZJ&t=23
Marge from Fargo (1996) - https://youtu.be/fTABDbxvEUU?si=tMiCSC3wWWOHtzMl
You poor thing, but this is the only food we have. I need the food to nurse my husband back to health.
....And then he flew over the mountain! He didn't even thank me!?!?!
There must be something special about this carrot patch. Strange though, it doesn't affect me when I eat it?
Rabbitville has plenty of townsfolk and there will be other incidental characters in the Atomic Rabbit comic. Feel free to showcase your vocal range!
It's unbelievable, the rabbit picked up a boulder, picked up a house and then just flew away!
Wow! Look, the dam is giving way! Where's Atomic Rabbit?
Looks like Atomic Rabbit did it again! He lifted the mountain into place! Incredible!
