Project Overview

Hello! Welcome to round 2 of our askdrvoices casting. This time, we're going to be adding the characters of Danganronpa 3: Future Arc, as well as some extras that we didn't bother putting in the last casting call.


You may be wondering what askdrvoices is?? Well, if it isn't all too explanatory on its own, I'll tell you!

(I'm just copy pasting this from the previous casting call because I am weak and don't want to type it all again)


Dangan Ronpa is a murder mystery video game franchise that is about a bunch of student that are trapped and forced to kill each other. Recently, its popularity has started to spike due to the announcement of a new anime and game. If you’ve been around long enough, you’ll know that there have been countless voice acting blogs for this franchise before. But, unfortunately, most of them are deader than dead.


So, why not starting off anew??


Askdrvoices is a new ask blog that will host characters from all three current games as well as the anime, and perhaps more later on down the line when the new game comes out.


You may perhaps ask, what kind of content will askdrvoices be releasing? Sure there’ll be asks, but is that all? Well, here are a few examples of things that we might like to do in the future:


Answering asks (of course)

Short skits

Comic dubs

Dubs of anything else we can get our hands on

Possible AUs?

….And more!!!


All around, askdrvoices will definitely be a fun experience for all dangan ronpa fans that stumble across it! We hope you enjoy your stay, upupu~!

A few rules before you audition:


-Be prepared to commit to the blog! It hopefully wont be something that takes up all of your time, but if you’re asked to do something within a certain deadline, make sure you meet it! If you’re constantly just grazing the deadlines, it might come off as you not caring much about the blog, and after a while you might be kindly asked to step down from your role(s). This project is supposed to be fun!! Don’t treat it like a chore.


-Double casting will be allowed. There are a lot of characters in dangan ronpa, and its possible that having too big of a cast will be too much to handle.


-When auditioning for a voice acting role, please make sure your mic quality is at least somewhat good. If we can hear something akin to a waterfall in the background of your recording, we will not be pleased. If you’d like some tips on how to make your recording sound better, you can send us an ask and we can try to help you out.


-It would be HEAVILY advised that you know a thing or two about the franchise. preferably that you are familiar with most of the games.


-We’d like it if our cast members were comfortable with using discord. Skype used to be the big thing with voice acting groups and such, but discord is a lot easier to keep track of. If you are not comfortable with using something like discord or skype due to social anxiety reasons and such, though, that is understandable. But it is recommended, as part of the fun of this blog will be meeting new people.


-Feel free to add in extra lines if you'd like.


-Ask for feedback if you want it. We'll try to be as thorough as possible so that you can get the most out of auditioning.

  • First Round Casting!!!

    Hello! First of all, thank you so much to all the people that auditioned!! There were a lot of amazing auditions, and it was hard for me to decide on some characters. I actually had to bring in a friend to help me make my decisions so that I could get a second opinion on things. But the deadline has passed and characters have been casted!!


    If you haven't been cast, please do not be discouraged! You are free to ask me for feedback, privately or not, and I will do my best to help you figure out what you could have done better. If you would like to audition for any of the remaining characters as well, feel free to do so!! Some characters were severely lacking auditions, so it was difficult for me to make a proper decision for them. Other characters had plenty of auditions, but none of them me and my friend could quite agree sounded right.

Yuto Kamishiro is the Super High School Level Spy. His childlike and somewhat featureless face makes him easy to forget by others, aiding him with his talent. He has a love of pastries, and also seems to be a bit of a pervert.


I was thinking a medium-high childish male voice for him. Could potentially be played by a female.

Sakura Oogami is the SHSL Martial Artist. Contrary to what her appearance might suggest, Sakura is a quiet and levelheaded girl. She has a habit of talking in an old-fashioned, formal manner, possibly influenced by the fact that she was heir apparent to a dojo with a three-hundred-year history.


Voice-wise I would like a low voice. It can be male or female.

  • If we can be beaten by force, death is an outcome we will accept. That is the way of my clan. But... I never imagined my family could be defeated so easily... How... did he manage such a thing?

  • Some would say that a woman is incapable of becoming the strongest human alive. I want to prove them wrong.

Kazuo Tengan is the leader of the Future Foundation, but is more of a figurehead in comparison to Kyosuke, who holds most of the power. Kazuo is wise and good-natured, believing that violence is wrong. Despite this, he is a strong fighter.

  • Kyosuke is a strong man. But a hope that is too strong can sometimes approach despair.

Haiji Towa is the leader of the resistance, formed to go against the Warriors of Hope. He is also Monaka's half brother. Seems to be somewhat obsessed with destroying the Warriors of Hope, no matter the cost.

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu is the SHSL Yakuza. Fuyuhiko is initially incredibly stand-offish and rude to the other students on the island. He makes frequent references to his yakuza background, and seems adamant at presenting this sort of “lone wolf” attitude.


Voice-wise I'd like a medium to medium-low male voice. You know. Just. Make him sound like a slick gangsta boi

Taking on the title of SHSL Good Luck, Makoto Naegi is the protag of the game. According to himself, Makoto is a very ordinary person, to the point that he feels a bit insecure about it. His most distinguishing feature is his unusual optimism.

Natsumi Kuzuryuu is the younger sister of Fuyuhiko, and a student residing in the reserve course. She may come off as rude and intimidating, but that may just be a complex. In truth, she cares a lot for her brother, and wants to be seen as someone with enough talent to stand beside him.

Ryota Mitarai is the ex-Super High School Level Animator, and a member of the Future Foundation. Bullied from a young age, anime was something that saved Ryouta, and inspired him to become an animator. He holes himself in his room, risking his health and well being to work on creating the perfect anime.

Yasuke Matsuda is the Super High School Level Neurologist, in charge of the neurology lab at Hope's Peak. He also aided in the creation of the Neo World Program, along with Chihiro and Miaya. He is sharp-tongued, sarcastic, and witty.


I'd imagine a medium-lowish voice for him, but feel free to try anything that you might think sounds right.

  • That girl... Even when people make fun of her, she swipes it off because she thinks it has ‘nothing to do with her’. That's why I have to speak up for her. I won't be able to live with myself if I don't.

  • I really can't leave you alone for a second, can I...

  • Who are you going to report me to? The National Japanese Ugly People Association? That kind of organization would be guilty of discrimination just by existing.

Daisaku Bandai is the ex-Super High School Level Farmer, and a member of Future Foundation. He seems to like coming up with strange sayings that no one understands. He is said to be gentle, loving, and whimsical.


Has a soft, cutesy feminine voice that should be medium-high to high. I'd prefer if a female played this role.

  • A strawberry only gives up to 3 seeds.

  • A chanting monk doesn’t know his parents, right?

Juzo Sakakura is the ex-Super High School Level Boxer. He's intimidating and a little rude, and will quickly resort to violence. He seems to be close with Chisa and Kyosuke, but perhaps might be treated as a third wheel.

Kyosuke Munakata is the ex-Super High School Level Student Council President, as well as the vice-leader of the Future Foundation. He is strict, and his ideals include reaching hope by any means possible, including killing all that get in the way.


A medium-low to low voice that sounds clear and authoritative for him!

  • I am not like you. I believe in power. No matter how many I make into victims, even if it means my death, I shall destroy despair. That is my resolve!

  • So, this is humanity's last hope? Even as we speak, the Remnants of Despair are causing more damage, and more people are falling victim. Is this the time to squabble?

  • A world without despair... That is the future that she and I imagined!

Jin Kirigiri is the headmaster of Hope's Peak, as well as Kyouko's father. He is a pretty calm and levelheaded man, similar to his daughter, whom he cares a lot about.
