Anime and Vocaloid Song Covers
Project Overview
Hello, my name is Lysander and I’m an 18 year old male singer from the USA. I’ve joined a lot of anime and Vocaloid-themed cover projects over the years, but very few went beyond casting or one cover. I believe this is mostly because these projects were biting off more than they could chew, so I’m just looking to start with something simple to ensure that it gets going, and possibly down the road we can make it more serious.
I’m looking for one or two other people to join me in singing covers for YouTube. These covers will be primarily from anime or Vocaloid. I’ve been dabbling in composing as well, so we may find ourselves with original songs at some point, but for now I want to focus on covers. This is going to be fairly casual, but if we work really well as a group I would be beyond excited to see it go further.
For our covers, we will be using our own original characters or personas. I can do most staff roles, including writing English translyrics (if we decide to sing in English), doing art, and mixing the audio, but for the sake of time and ease I would greatly appreciate if I had some help in that department, especially when it comes to making videos. I can definitely make simple videos, but I’m still learning.
Anyway, enough of me rambling. Here’s the requirements for auditions:
- Have a decent-quality mic. It doesn’t have to be extremely professional or perfect, but little to no background noise and a pretty clear sound is preferable.
- Be at least 15.
- Have Discord. This is where we will communicate.
- Be able to sing in English. I can personally sing in multiple languages, so I’m definitely open to expanding past English, but I require that we have at least one language in common (otherwise this will be very difficult haha)

This role will be creating videos for our covers. We will provide art of our characters and you will be using that art to create videos to be posted on YouTube! They can be as simple or as intricate as you’re comfortable with.
