ANIMATION NATION (New Youtube Channel!)
Project Overview
A youtube channel where we will discuss animation in all its forms – movies, shows, fan-animated things, hand-drawn, 3-D, stopmotion, etcetera etcetera! Some topics we will touch on will be reviews, talk about the industry, theories, internet phenomena, top 10 lists, childhood favorites, suggestions… the list goes on and on. For now, there will only be a couple of spots open (as I want to start small - maybe four members tops including me?), but later on we could grow if we get enough positive feedback! This has been a dream of mine for a while, so it would be great if I could find some people who are just as passionate about making this work as I am! I would want to try to put out a new video every 2 weeks or so at the beginning and my ultimate goal is to get to 100 subscribers within the year - enough to qualify for a custom URL. So, needless to say, I need members who will stick with me and be in it for the long haul. More info will be released to those chosen, or upon request!
REQUIREMENTS:
GOOD MIC – I will not be able to smoothly clip all the audio together if there is background noise, echo, general poor quality, etcetera. I understand that a lot of new voice actors don’t have the setup available for studio quality recordings, but at least try to get a clear recording. Or, at least, clear enough that I can clean it up later in Audacity.
DECENT ENUNCIATION - I understand that not everyone has a crystal clear speaking voice. But, for this medium (where there will be no video - 100% vocal, like the Game Grumps, for example), you HAVE to have a clear, understandable voice. Things like speech impediements, slurs, and hard-to-understand accents WILL hamper your chances of being chosen. I'm really sorry about this, and I know its something people can't really control, but this is something that is necessary for the channel to work.
NOTE –
It would be awesome if each member could contribute something, even in a small manner! Things like experience, exposure, tips, help, etcetera. I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I'll most likely be the one editing all of the videos and audio into the final project, but anything to lighten the load is awesome!
Before the first episode airs, I’d love to do a couple skype chats and maybe a few calls (schedules willing) with us members to bond and brainstorm episode ideas.

Try to bring a unique opinion to the table, or talk about something you're really passionate about!
Introduce yourself! This can include preferred name your background in animation, etc. Why do you love animation? This could be considered the ‘passion’ section of the audition. Favorite shows as a kid, childhood experiences… what makes you love animation to this day? I would also like you to mention what shows you watch/have watched and some ideas for topics on the show that you're interested in, be they my ideas or yours.
What could you, as a member, bring to this channel that is unique? This could be additional talents (writing, research, experience, help with editing, channel management, and advertising, just to name a few), a certain angle you believe is desirable, or anything that sets you apart from the other auditioners. Don’t be shy – brag a little!
