Angels with Scaly Wings | The Voice-Acted Playthrough
Project Overview
This Casting Call is still under construction! Please come back later for a full audition list and more details.
--
Angels with Scaly Wings: The Voice-Acted Playthrough is a fan-made audio adaptation of M.B. Saunders' visual novel Angels with Scaly Wings. Our project, directed by Xavi, is to provide voices for each of the characters within the game over the course of a single, Youtube-hosted playthrough.
This Casting Call features all the characters whom we plan to find voices for. Once cast, selected voice actors will be sent their lines and asked to return their audio files in a lossless .ogg format within one month for editing.
New to voice acting or want some advice? Check out CDawgVA's video here for some pointers.
-- Publishing Formats --
The project is anticipated to take anywhere between one to four months to fully produce. Upon completion, episodes will be uploaded to a specific SoundCloud and YouTube channel, both to be confirmed at a later date. Each voice actor will be credited with both audio recognition and links to your social media of choice in the description.
-- Will This Series Earn Any Money? --
Due to Angels with Scaly Wings being a licensed franchise, we are unfortunately unable to monetise the videos and tracks to earn any money, meaning that the production will be just a hobby for those involved. We are sadly unable to pay our voice actors at this time.
-- Audition Requirements --
> Please ensure that your mic is of at least decent quality. Use of a pop filter will be viewed very favourably. Minimal background noise and clear clarity are great!
> Please do not place music in your audition. Doing so will result in your audition being declined.
> Please do not apply sound effects or voice filters (such as flanging) to your clips if auditioning for a certain species or character. We'd like to just hear your voice as-is! :)
> Delivery and realistic expression of emotion will be very highly valued.
> Provided they are able to meet all other listed requirements, voice acting beginners and novices are welcome!
-- Deadlines --
> Auditions will be closing on Saturday 20th May 2017. Any auditions submitted after this date will be automatically declined.

A waitress and delivery flyer for a café, Adine always wanted a little more out of life. Ever since she was little, she wanted to be a professional stunt pilot. With her aspirations as high as ever, she never gave up on her dream and kept practicing for the chance of being noticed at a local festival.
(The character is suddenly acting cheerful and professional after a rude reaction from a customer.) "Welcome to our establishment. My name's Adine, and I'll be your waitress today. What can I bring you two?"
(The character is explaining an unhappy situation they have to face quite often in their life.)"The restaurant can no longer sell that first order you still have, so the orders for both families are deducted from your paycheck and you end up eating nothing but ramen all week again, just so you can make rent this month."
(The character is angrily lashing out against a friend in frustration for not believing in her.)"You know what? I will fly and do the best damn job I've ever done, and there's nothing you can do to stop me."
Confidence, talent, success. Anna has it all. Despite not taking rules seriously all the time, she has made it far in life thanks to her own job being her greatest passion. As a biologist, the arrival of humans has also aroused her scientific curiosity; be careful, though, as that passion could quickly become a temper.
(The character is fatigued and somewhat disheartened. Upon mentioning Remy, she ought to sound somewhat frustrated.)"Sorry, I'm just stressed from all the work lately. I'm not getting much respite between my regular work, overtime, personal projects and other disturbances like that Remy sticking his nose where it doesn't belong."
(The character is upset over a very severe situation and is opening up to a friend through her distress.)
"This is my life we're talking about. Do you think I didn't spent hours on the ground in the hallway of the facility after Reza's first visit, trying to find a stray hair or anything else I could use? Or that when I gave him that first generator I didn't try to graze his skin just enough so that I could salvage a few skin cells?"(The character is at a café with a stranger who is asking her a suspiciously large number of questions. Anna's tone is somewhat impatient.)
"What is this, an interrogation?"
(The stranger responds sarcastically; "Yes, totally. You can call your lawyer if you like." Anna's reply is playful and flirtatious in tone.)
"Maybe I should. I'll tell her you hit me, then sue for damages."
