AKIRA: THE MANGA Fandub
Project Overview
Hello everyone, as you can see from the title, I am working on a dub of the manga for the famous anime Franchise AKIRA, and am in need of Voice Actors.
"The manga is set in a post-apocalyptic and futuristic Neo-Tokyo, more than two decades after a mysterious explosion destroyed the city. The story focuses on the efforts of teenage biker gang leader Kaneda, militant revolutionary Kei, a trio of espers, and Neo-Tokyo military leader Colonel Shikishima, who attempt to prevent Tetsuo, Kaneda's mentally imbalanced childhood friend, from using his unstable and powerful telekinetic abilities to ravage the city and awaken a mysterious individual with similar psychic abilities named "Akira," who was responsible for the destruction of Tokyo several years ago. Throughout the volumes, Otomo (AKIRA's writer) uses conventions of the cyberpunk genre to detail a saga of political turmoil, social isolation, corruption, and power."

I'd prefer you'd to be already familiar with AKIRA and it's characters before auditioning, but you don't need to be.

To audition you must have an okay to good quality mic, with minimal to no background noise. You must also be semi-active to active on social media.
Keep in mind that the AKIRA's Manga is 6 volumes long, and most Lead/Supporting characters are around for multiple volumes or all of them. It's has been over 2 months since I started working on episode 1, and its still not finished. I hope to get episodes out quicker in the future. If you don't think you can stick around or commit that long to this project, please don't audition for Lead/Supporting roles. unless the characters presents is stated to be shorter in there bio.
More characters will be added to this casting call in the future.

Masaru is an ESPer, AKA a psychic, who is withheld in captivity by the government of Neo-Tokyo, along with 2 other ESPers.
"Masaru is braver and bolder than Takashi (another ESPer,) and bears more maturity and responsibility among his friends. Unlike Takashi, he does not hesitate to attack someone with his psychic powers if he/she threatens his friends' safety in some way, but he is also very reasonable and caring. Like Takashi, Masaru is close friends with Kiyoko (another ESPer) and turns to her for guidance. Because of Kiyoko's frailty, he is very protective of her. "

Just because this character is male doesn't mean women cant audition for him, in fact I'd prefer if women did because hes around 9-10, and like I said I need a high pitched voice.
