Project Overview

INTRODUCTION 

The series takes place at Starlight Academy, a prestigious school with both middle and high branches, where girls train to become idols and take part in various auditions. such as live, fashion show, and drama. To participate in these auditions, idols use Aikatsu cards, special cards which contain digitized dresses and accessories from various manufacturers that are used in their auditions. How well they succeed is often dependent on choosing the right combination of cards.

The anime series follows a girl named Ichigo Hoshimiya, who becomes inspired by a performance by top idol Mizuki Kanzaki and enrolls in Starlight Academy alongside her best friend, Aoi Kiriya. Along with their classmate, Ran Shibuki, Ichigo and Aoi spend each day training for auditions and aiming to become top idols.

I'm looking for voice actors to play the parts of Idols, Managers, teachers, and headmistress. If you are cast I ask that you submit your lines to me through discord or Youtube, so please provide that information with your audition. If you're not casted, I may need you as an extra as this anime has a lot of extra roles. Since this is a dub of the original anime we ask that you speak english, however the characters names are going to be staying in japanese so if you need help pronouncing, let me know!

DEADLINES AND AUDITIONS 

 The deadline for auditions is February 18, 2021. I may extend or shorten this deadline, I'm working on scripting at the moment and have Ep. 1 done. Once casting is done and I figure out how everyone will get their lines to me I will release Episode scripts weekly. I'm very lenient when it comes to line deadlines, so let me know if you'll need an extension when line deadlines are set. 

WHAT I ASK OF YOU 

  • Have fun! This is a light hearted, family friendly anime about friendship and success! I highly encourage you to feel the characters. 
  • Please have no background noise in your recordings, I do have audio editors but I'd still prefer it if there were no background noise.
  • Please send in your lines one by one. It helps me to work more efficiently so the anime can be published and for my community to see!
  • I may ask for redo's since I want this to be pretty close to perfect. 

WHO AM I?

I'm an anime lover, and gacha creator. I decided to step out of my comfort zone and dub an anime. I've dreamt of being an idol for as long as I can remember so this anime is really special to me.

Ichigo is the main protagonist of Aikatsu. She is a cute type idol. 

Ichigo is the typical female anime protagonist. She's a cheerful, gung-ho girl, who's always willing to help out friends and strangers alike. A stubborn airhead, but definitely shares certain characteristics with her mother, Ringo. Her Achilles' heel is that she can push herself too much, which can make her lose sight of her original goal at times. She's very straightforward, and sometimes has difficulty understanding certain situations, but her determination and hard work allow her to overcome any and all obstacles that hinder her. One of Ichigo's most defining personality quirks is her love for food. This is a running gag throughout the series, since there isn't a single dish she dislikes, and she has a humongous appetite, which is a trait she inherited from her father.

Ichigo's personality is known to be most as the moe type, meaning that she is, above all, cute. She displays the some of the most common traits like air-headed-ness, determination, cheerfulness, and in some cases genius-level abilities.

Aoi is a calm and bright girl. She is very intelligent, possessing an encyclopedic knowledge and excellent analytical skills. She is highly determined towards her goals and approaches them very seriously. Aoi makes sure to plan ahead and research as much as she can for a situation. She is hard-working and has a bit of a perfectionist streak.

As a child, Aoi quickly became interested in idols after discovering the freedom and excitement of it, which was a strict contrast to the traditional arts she partook in. Since then, she has dedicated herself to idols and has studied idols ever since. She appears to be quite lucky as she is seen throughout the series meeting several idols she is a fan of. 

She is known for being much more mature than Ichigo and tends to keep her on the right track, but has times when she can get very excited. While normally she seems confident and in good spirits, deep down Aoi is afraid of the fact that she knows it's possible she and Ichigo won't both rise to stardom together as planned.

Ran is a quiet, independent girl with a professional air about her. She is multi-talented and mature but she has a short temper and does not like being pestered. Despite this, Ran is a kind person. She is humble about who she is as a person and idol, despite her popularity. She doesn't eat sweets as she is concerned they will ruin her image.

Otome has a bubbly personality. She adores cuteness and often adds "Love You" or simply "Love" to almost every sentence. She speaks in first-person. Like Ichigo, she is very carefree and has a immense love for cute things, such as kittens and rainbows and is air headed. Otome is a very hard worker, and she will train for at least a year in advance. Even though Otome is somewhat clumsy like Ichigo, she fears that she will make a mistake during the real thing. Otome always performs with all her heart.

Yurika is usually quiet and soft spoken. She created her vampire character, based on an old vampire romance manga, in order to stand out at Starlight Academy. When in character she is confident and proud, however there are moments when she lets her character slip. When this happens her personality is that of a tsundere. She likes garlic flavored noodles, a fact only Ichigo and her friends know about, and has it delivered to her. Her vampire character is very popular both within the academy and the outside public.

  • (Intimidating) I'm a descendant of vampires who share the blood of the great Count Dracula... do you really wish to have Yurika-sama suck your blood?

Sakura Kitaōji (Main)

Sakura is a very calm, polite, and soft-spoken girl. She is very friendly and a hard worker, like Ichigo. Upon her arrival at Starlight, Ichigo was assigned to be her senpai. Since then, she and her friends have helped Sakura gain confidence in herself, and develop friendships and companionships among each other and the rest of the Starlight community. By season two, Sakura has become more confident and assertive, though she still retains some of her soft-spoken nature.

Having come from America, Kaede uses a lot of English phrases and has a habit of kissing people she meets on the cheek. She is friendly and has a fascination with magic. She enjoys performing various tricks and ensures that her fans are having a good time. Kaede does occasionally make large scale entrances skydiving for example into the Tristar auditions.

Orihime is a kind yet stern woman. She sometimes acts as a voice of guidance for the idols of Starlight School and rarely loses her cool. She is shown to be rather patient and has a high degree of faith in the idols of Starlight, especially Ichigo and her friends. In the anime, Orihime always keeps track of the activity going with her idols and tends to, as Johnny puts it, "search for excitement". Despite the fact that this claim was proved many times in the series, Orihime never truly denies it.

  • (You're a teacher and you're teaching idols this lesson) So long as you continue forth as an idol, one day you'll come to understand. That the cheers of your fans will be the fuel that lets you run past your limits.

Johnny is a lively person with a bit of a flair for dramatics which often confuses his students and everyone around him. He often uses English words and phrases though they're apparently hard to comprehend as even Kaede couldn't understand him. He's silly and fun and sometimes tries to be a Casanova, but is seldom successful. Despite his energy, Johnny is shown to be a humble, wise, and insightful person who can be serious when needed.

Though Naoto initially comes off as a rather impassive and indifferent person he cares for his friends and Starlight School. He is shown to be mature and wise as he commonly gives advice to Ichigo and her friends. He is kind, empathic, sensible, and down-to-earth, but can have a temper at times. He has stated to not be interested in any of the students at Starlight School due to them being kids to him. He is also very blunt and straightforward and doesn't hesitate to say his thoughts; even if no one's around to hear them. He's also highly perceptive and is very good at discerning other people's feelings and situations.

Shion is serious and contained, barely ever smiling or talking back before she befriended anyone. Despite this, she is not exactly unfriendly. She believes acting is everything and her passion for it knows no bounds. She will do what she can to feel more like the character she is trying out for, even if it means cutting off her hair. However, after she makes some friends Shion begins to smile and open up a lot more, though still she remains quite serious and maintains her cool composure.

Hikari displays a calm, collected type of personality. Despite her flashy entrances, she is very humble about her popularity, and very serious about work, training extensively by herself. Raichi is a big idol fan, so much to the point that Aoi has taken him under her wing in idol fandom. His relationship with Ichigo is that of a typical brother-sister acquaintance-type; they have their differences, but he still looks up to her in the sense that she is his older sister. This is commonly shown throughout the series, one of the most prominent being when he tried to keep her from seeing the photos of Mizuki he took and when Ichigo answered his question on the radio.

At first Raichi didn't have much confidence in Ichigo becoming an idol, but as time went on, he gradually began to see her talent and becomes impressed by her role as an idol.

  • (Excited and shocked) WHAT?! REALLY?! HOW?!
