Hey there. I am a graduate Game Developer student who is thinking about creating a game using AI as a driving factor for the project trying to see how well the new technology is at creating games.
The overview for this concept is a third-person action-adventure game set in ancient Egypt. The player takes on the role of an archaeologist who embarks on a journey to explore the cursed pyramid of a lost pharaoh. As the player navigates through the pyramid's treacherous chambers, they must solve puzzles, battle enemies, and uncover secrets to lift the curse and escape with the pharaoh's treasures.
A little bit about myself and my partner:
I am a generalist game developer. I know Programming, 3D Animation, and 3D Modeling mainly however I have experience in almost every aspect of game development as my program that I have graduated from teaches a little bit of everything.
On the team is also another game development student that has graduated. She specializes in 3D Modeling specifically.
We are trying to decide if we want to continue with the project and see where the AI leads. The AI software has created a game design document, the script, and the gameplay ideas with very little input from myself and the AI has created a prologue script for the first cutscene that will be in the game when/if we continue.
As I mentioned, this is merely in the concepting phase with no actual finalization in mind yet and the details literally are very scarce. However, what I can promise, is I will provide as much detail as the candidates need about the project if I like your sound. I will compile all the voice lines and try to make a concept conversation that will take place in the game with hopefully finalized audio with this first script so there is something for you to take.
If the project is to be continued, me and my partner are going to create mini-slices of the game as portfolio pieces, and if it continues from there we may (this is a very big if) continue to create it to release. We also have the possibility of adding at least 3 more developers that I know, with the possibility of having a team up to 15 people if we are serious about this with the possibility of getting funding for a potential paid spot for anyone we take on (potentially including yourself).
I don't want to create any false promises for anyone who wants to audition for these roles, I know there are projects on here that have been left unfinished (I used to use this website as a voice actor myself) and I don't want to come across as this thing being close to any completion as the only thing that has been created thus far is a brainstorming session and a GDD. I am going to stress one last time, this is in the concept phase and can very well not exist next week, next month, or next year. However, it also has a very real possibility of being continued past the concepting phase.
Anyways, these roles are also up for your own interpretation, if you are chosen, you will be kept in the loop the entire time and will be considered a core member of the team.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
