Aftermath: Before the Fall (Prequel to main series)
Project Overview
Before the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons, there were the Primes known as the Thirteen. Among these Thirteen are both Creators and Destroyers. Bots who wield knowledge and wisdom, and others that wield strength and power. These bots fought against the forces of Unicron and ushered a new era of peace on Cybertron known as the Golden Age.
This story will be a prequel to the main Aftermath series and will help explain things that haven't been focused on! Join me as we follow what happened to the Thirteen, what went wrong, and how jealousy paved the way for bloodshed, war, and the founding of both the Autobots and the Decepticons.
As a side note, this is a preemptive casting as this project won't start its release until after Season 2 of Aftermath is concluded!

Megatronus... Later known as the Fallen. In this universe he became the founder of the Decepticons, and passed down his title to D-16, who would become known as Megatron. Among the Primes, Megatronus is known for his ungodly strength, imposing stature, and a fiery personality that, quite literally, lights up the room. While he is considered more of a brute among his comrades, some of the other Primes rather enjoy his company, and Solus is certainly no exception. Whenever the two of them are off the battlefield, they are inseparable. And whenever Solus isn't around, Prima and Megatronus enjoy a drink or two together.

Prima, the first Prime. Wielder of the legendary Star Saber and first bearer of the Matrix of Leadership. He is one of the wisest Primes, although he's not afraid to cut loose and have some fun now and then. He's close friends with Solus and Megatronus, with Megatronus being his drinking buddy when Solus is busy. Aside from Solus, Prima is Megatronus' closest friend. Sure the other Primes enjoy Megatronus' company, but they all seem a bit uneasy when Megatronus walks into the room as they think Megatronus is more brawn than brain.
Prima and Solus couldn't care less, as they both know he simply tries his best. Prima can be both charismatic and a good bot to trust as he sees the good in everyone.

Solus Prime, the forgemaster and wielder of the Great Forge. She is one of the smallest of the Primes but don't mistake her small stature for weakness: She is the creator of nearly all of her bretheren's artifacts. From the Lenses, Requiem Blaster, and even the Star Saber itself, they were all made by her hand. However, being a creator means she is not as adept at combat, meaning she has to linger behind her comrades, covering their rear and helping with any smaller enemies she can. This plays to her strength as her lover, Megatronus, takes care of nearly all enemies that would come near her and she merely takes care of the rest.
She has a bit of a competitive side, often egging Prima and some of the other Primes into drinking contests or feats of strength. Sometimes it's for entertainment, but other times it's to allow Megatronus a path to bond with his fellow Primes, and for them to put aside their anxiety whenever they're near him. She knows her sparkmate all too well, and knows that he struggles to make connections with other bots because of his imposing nature, but that's not what she sees.
Where others see fire and rage, she sees the burning desire to defend. Where others see brute strength, she sees the strength to protect others. When others look into his eyes, all they see is violence. When she looks into his eyes, she sees a gentle soul who's only desire is to be equal to his comrades, not seen as a mindless brute.
Solus and Megatornus are inseparable. Once the war with Unicron was over, they vowed to be together til death do them part.

The smallest of the Primes, Micronus more than makes up for it with his determination to help his fellow Primes. He provides a power boost to any who need it by combining with and armoring up his wielder.

Liege has always been a pot stirrer, finding ways to get under the skin of his fellow Primes. But none are more susceptible than Megatronus.
Though Leiege knows when to halt his comments, for even as cunning as he is, he knows he's no match for the wrath of Primus himself made manifest...
I think a deeper Loki-voice would suit him really well!!

You know what? Megatronus, I'll let you take the lead here. I know when I'm outclassed and I'd be surprised if something like that can bring you down.

Nexus has always been one to avoid conflict. He tries his best to stay impartial and see the bigger picture in most situations. However, among the Thirteen, when the need arises his determination to defend those he was created to protect is second to none.
And when he uses his full potential...it's rumored that not even Megatronus can stop him...
He's also my favorite of the Thirteen so in my mind I have him as someone who doesn't talk all that much, but when he does, everyone stops to listen. His words inspire his brothers and instil fear into their enemies.

One of the more science-focused of the Primes, Alchemist veers more towards logic than emotion. Howevr, he can be very compassionate when he needs to be. Just be ready for some blunt words of wisdom...

Nova Prime is like the big brother of the Thirteen. He helps guide the others but can stand amongst himself with his strength. He and Megatronus have had friendly competitions in the past to see who is stronger, and the two get along relatively well.

Onyx is viewed similar to Megatronus: a beast that can lash out at any moment. But that couldn't be further from the truth. Despite being the first beastformer, Onyx has a deep appreciation for the world around them. He fights for areas of the planet to remain as they are to preserve the wildlife and Cybertronian nature that lives there.
At first he was viewed with distrust, but quickly proved himself to be a strong fighter and a stronger friend and brother to those around him.

Despite our appearances, we all share the same creator. Our sparks are in harmony with the world around us.
We carry the light gifted to us by Primus himself! And should that light be threatened, our foes will be met with claws and fangs!

One of the first Primes to come online, like Onyx, Quintus has a deep appreciation for all life and the preservation of such life. He helps keep the balance of life on Cybertron alongside Primus, as one of his duties is to create and greet new Cybertronians as they find their place on their planet.

Amalgamous was the first to discover the gift of transformation, and the first to bestow that same gift unto his brothers and sister in arms.
While he truly means well, some of the Thirteen view him as clumsy and indecisive... most likely a side effect of his being able to transform into anything he can imagine...
