After the Sword in the Stone - Casting Call 3
Project Overview
This is a casting call for the remaining characters in the main cast of ‘After the Sword in the Stone’ a web comic created by Luka Quill.
These characters will be used in both the web comic dub and audio short stories.
The Plot
King Arthur has been on the throne of Camelot for a month, he's bored, he never asked for this and he's not quite sure he's ready for the job. Merlin, his mentor, encourages him to go out and make friends, as Arthur starts to make friends the idea sparks to create the Round Table and as Camelot isn't always as peaceful as it seems they couldn’t be forming a team at a better time.
Target Demographic
The core target demographic is children and has a strong emphasis on friendship, teamwork and doing the right thing but can be enjoyed by all. They are comedic and action packed and will incorporate both original stories and retellings of classic Arthurian Legends reworked for modern audiences whilst still keeping the medieval and magical setting.
What We Are Looking For
Currently we are seeking actors to play 2 of the main characters.
Each character has a description of their personality, what we are looking for in their voice and their reference sheets, designed by Vixlee57.
Important Information
Actors auditioning must be 18+ and have a decent mic USB or XLR, with minimal background noise. No headphones mics!
Discord and PayPal are both preferred for communication and payment.
Auditions can be in either ABC or AABBCC format.

Sir Percival is the oldest of the core four and most practical (Between 13/14). He's very clever and is the most likely of the group to actually think things through before striking. Percival does however often find himself at odds with Lancelot, he finds him super annoying as they have clashing personalities. He's responsible, dedicated and gentle. He is gay and tends to brush off any of the ladies at court who make advances on him. He and Gwen love to share thoughts on books and poetry and Percival's sensing and wise nature helps him see through Gwen's fake attitude upon her first arrival.
We are looking for either a male or female voice actor with a north western English accent for this role. Think Cumbria, Yorkshire and Manchester. We encourage POC actors to audition.

(Telling Arthur about the Questing Beast) It supposedly has the neck of a snake and the body of a leopard, not that I've ever seen it. Father believes he'll be the one to catch it but I have my doubts.
(Snarky towards Lancelot) Nothing. I’m just assessing your character. When I heard of Sir Lancelot the first Knight of the Round Table I honestly expected more but you have no value for logic.
(Excited) You see this plant here, it’s called Solmnolentus Plantae. (Now Irritated because no one understands what he's saying) It’s the drowsy plant, tear it up and rub it and voila!
Guinevere (Gwen) is the princess of the kingdom of Cameliard and has come to stay in Camelot to be educated by Merlin in magic. She is between 12 and 13 years old. She is initially resistant and rather cranky, making sweeping assumptions about Arthur, Lancelot and Percival before getting to know them. Gwen displays femininity but also enjoys being close with the boys. She's a skilled archer, often found on adventures with them as well as doing her magic lessons with Merlin. Her biggest confidant is her Lady in Waiting Lady Matilda who she trusts with all her biggest secrets. Gwen harbours a crush on Arthur, it's mutual but neither have the confidence to tell each other. Gwen is also very close with Percival, both love to read and talk about poetry. He's the only one to see through her mean façade at the start and encourages her to make amends.
We are looking for a female voice with an RP English accent or Welsh accent. Gwen’s voice should be high to represent her youth. She has a sharp tongue to begin with and is initially seen as a mean girl but her true demeanour is kind.
