Ace Combat: Thunder Over Usea (Arma 3 Mod)
Project Overview
Hi there! My name is Nick Gikas and I'm creating a custom campaign for Arma 3 set in the Ace Combat universe. I'll try and keep things brief to make the audition process easy for everyone.
"What exactly is this project?"
Simply put, this is a mod for Bohemia Interactive's military simulation FPS Arma 3 to turn it into Ace Combat, an arcade flight simulator series by Bandai Namco. This campaign contains 12 missions to be played cooperatively by 10 players. Players take on the role of ace fighter pilots and fight against the invading forces of Erusea.
This is an unpaid gig. Thunder Over Erusea is a passion project that will be released for free on Steam Workshop, and I have no intention of making any money off of it. There's dozens of small roles that need filling, and I wanted to reach out to the VA community at large. It's likely that you may have as little as one short line of dialogue, but I want each character to sound unique. Whether you're a seasoned actor or a newbie trying to get some credits under your belt, you're welcome to audition!
The subject matter of the mod is mostly SFW, but there's obviously warfare, combat, high stress, and death throughout. No excessive swearing or violence other than vehicles exploding.
"What do you expect from those who audition?"
The overall tone for the dialogue in this mod is: What if Top Gun was an anime?
You'll most likely be playing a jet pilot, tank/battleship crewman, boots-on-the-ground soldier, etc.
There is no strict gender requirement. While I'm mostly looking for male/masc voice actors to fill these roles, there's definitely room for female/femme VAs in the cast as well.
Below are some videos showcasing how the lines should sound. It's not meant to be hardcore realism, but it is a military story. Think along the lines of Mobile Suit Gundam (especially The 08th MS Team). Since you'll have an opportunity for 2 takes, feel free to shake it up a little!

Please record 2 takes of each line in AABBCC format. Try to make the alternate takes sound different. Upload a single raw file with the recorded dialogue and try to ensure little to no background noise.
