Accidental Connection - singular audition for ETHAN
Project Overview
Accidental Connection is 1/3 of the way through the series, but that doesn't mean we're not done casting. We recently realized that one of our characters (who only appears in Episode 12) is not casted!
We're always looking for new ensemble members (especially females), so try out for that role as well! You're guaranteed a part for ensemble if your mic quality is adequate and you're new to voice acting! That's the mission goal of OWP.
NOTE: If you do not know what Accidental Connection is, click on my profile and see the original casting call for AC. It should give you a basic idea of the story!
The main character we are looking for is a 6- to 7-year-old boy. He should have an American accent. See below for more details!

Ethan is the only one of 7 pregnancies to survive. At the time of Episode 12, he is 6/7 years old. His parents are Darcie and Ryan, who independently run and own the most popular bar in town, known as The Lucky Lemon.
His parents love him dearly, as they've always wanted a child. Ethan was raised to be helpful and accepting of others, and even though he's not allowed to touch the alcohol, he's more than willing to pass out soft pretzel bites.
He doesn't appear until Episode 12, but I'm putting out this casting call now in hopes of casting him early!
"Mom, can I turn the open sign around today? I never get to! I know I can't reach it but I'm sure dad can help me..."
[lying] "Yes, I did the dishes. You don't have to go check. Don't go in there, I promise I did the dishes!!"
"I tried cooking for you, I really did, but I think I accidentally burned the kitchen down."
We're always looking for ensemble cast. As mentioned in the project description, you're guaranteed a role if you are new to voice acting. Open Window Productions' mission statement is to educate and introduce those new to the process, so rookies are our main target!
{pissed; this man insulted your wife} I think it's my turn to give someone a talking-to. You need to get some common sense into that skull o’ yours, Milton! You have no excuse for blowing up at my wife like that. She was just trying to be your friend.
{trying to make a point; gentle and kind} You remind me every day to "spread the love" to other people. Sometimes love ain’t a free pint or a kiss on the cheek. Sometimes all you need to show love is a little forgiveness.
Demonstrate the following types of laughs: maniacal {if you can't do it, just say you can't and move on to the next one}, a nervous laugh {as if someone just told an offensive joke}, a realistic laugh {as real as you can make it; you just heard a really good joke}, and a snarky laugh {a "hoho, I'm so much better than you!" kind of feel}.
