Abandon Ship
Project Overview
The ship is called the Aurora. It is one of the first of it’s kind, powered by a dark matter drive. It has been sent out for the sole purpose of getting further than any ship has reached before it to set up a new warpgate to allow faster travel across the galaxy. It is over 1.2km (0.75mi) in length. It has a crew of 148 and 9 passengers.
The company behind it, Alterra, is a powerful corporation, which, despite being one of the richest, still tries to skimp out and save money everywhere possible. This means that the crew are restricted to cramped quarts with nothing but a bed, a PDA (personal data assistant) and a lot of marketing posters.
This opening bit takes place over the course of a few minutes. Here’s a summary. MC wakes up and goes to the cafeteria. Part of the ship is blown up. MC takes a 2 person lifepod abandoning someone else they could have helped save behind them. They get knocked out by part of the pod that gets broken off during the launch.
This is just a short introduction to a story that had none, and I thought I'd write it to see how it'd come out. This isn't the most serious of projects, which is why I am fairly lenient on quality.
You must have a fairly decent microphone and be able to shout for certain lines.

The project has been riddled with errors forcing me to restart twice now. I have no clue what is happening and have never encountered this before. Although I would like to work on this, it is starting to seem an impossibility. My apologies for any inconvenience caused. I will try my best to work through this, however, and keep you updated.

Due to a series of unexpected events, this project has been (annoyingly) delayed/slowed down... -
Put on hold
I don't know if anyone reads this, but if you are, I am still awaiting lines from 2 people. -
Animatic???
I think I have found someone who is interested in doing B/W storyboards for this. I may or may not colour it... but HEY! VISUAL ASPECT!! -
Beginning work.
I'm just beginning to make a first version of Abandon Ship. Hopefully all goes well.
Tired, extremely sarcastic and frustrated with Alterra after being messed around for years and being heavily underestimated by everyone. They are tired of the expedition and vent their anger mainly through sarcasm. They have been found to mutter to themselves quite frequently. They tend to default to isolating themselves from other people in stressful situations and always putting themselves first.
Normal way of speaking: Exhausted, but calm with passive-aggressive undertones.
Words: 81
(Muttering to self angrily and sarcastically)
Bloody Hollister. Always acting like the king-of-the-world. It's just a ship for god's sakes!
(Sad/defeated tone)
Sometimes I don't even know why I try.
A well trained pilot of large spacecraft. Great at keeping a straight face and approaches situations with the utmost seriousness. Has been a part of some of the biggest discoveries of the century. However, this is his first time taking charge of a ship this size. With few people close to him and only 23 people in the command team, he has had to stay strong in a time of great pressure. He fancies himself to be the best captain of all time.
Normal way of speaking: Loud, barks commands and formal.
Words: 76
(Barking orders)
YOU DO WHAT I SAY WHEN I SAY IT AND I EXPECT YOU TO LISTEN!
(Gruff and calm)
I remember the day I became Captain. Bloody good day it was.
Used for repeating daily announcements that would bore most other crew members. Although very intelligent, it is comfortable with it’s role.
Normal way of speaking: Calm, composed and soothing no matter what.
Words: 62
Attention all crew. This is a fire drill.
(Calm, composed and soothing)
Thank you for flying with Alterra. We are now beginning our descent.
Sounds friendly, with friendly attitudes, but somehow always manages to sound like it’s hiding something or perhaps laughing at you behind your back. It does it’s job, but for some reason never has consistent prices. It’s bland, gurgly voice is enough to bore anyone and make them loath it’s very existence. Just give it enough time.
Normal way of speaking: Relatively high pitched, nasal and pitch shifting almost constantly.
Words: 24
Fresh, hot coffee. Only, one. hundred. fifty. credits.
Gets locked out of their one chance to escape. Manages to get in contact with only one lifepod. The one they were shut out from. There were two seats and one person got in. They are going to die because one person was selfish. Shortly after, they found a group of stragglers and sent out a broadcast asking for help, only to get no response.
Words: 20
OH MY GOD! DON'T LET ME DIE NOW!
Perhaps we can come to an arrangement?
They are one of the few passengers aboard. They were given the opportunity after having invested millions in the company and the aurora.
Words: 3 + general crying
(Crying)
Please... someone... anyone...
