INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! Thank you for your interest in my project. This casting call is for my second second children's book titled "A Smile Can Change the World". It is an original work and I'm in need of a dedicated illustrator and editor. This is a children's book that I have written with the hope to enlighten and encourage people to smile and be happy, as the title would suggest. In this story, we follow the story of a young boy who is unhappy and through all odds, finds himself at the end smiling. It's short manuscript of about 300 words and has virtually no dialogue, but nonetheless there will be about 32 pages to illustrate + covers and other designs. The book itself will be self-published on Amazon initially as kindle and paperback. Later on it may be available in hardcover and audiobook form.
ROLES
At this time, I am only looking for two roles: the Illustrator and Editor (in chief). I myself hold the role of Author, Formatter, Publisher, and Lead Marketer. If cast as either illustrator or editor, you will also be responsible for a minor marketing role.
PAYMENT
This is a personal project and thus everything I do is coming from my own pocket. I do not have the ability to pay upfront for work completed. My successful pattern has been to publish the work and split revenue on book sales. This means that there is a liability that ZERO will come from this project, with the a high upward capacity. The sky is the limit. Thus, when entering this project it is agreed that the work provided is being done free of charge until stated otherwise. I intend for this project to be successful and will pay/reward any collaborative efforts accordingly, i.e. I will not take all the credit and run.
PERKS
This project comes with a slew of perks which are as follows:

- The illustrator's full name will be featured on the cover of the book. The editor and illustartor's names will both be featured on Amazon and inside the book contents,

CASTING REQUIREMENTS
Please audition if you meet the following criteria:
- You can be dedicated from start to finish in this project,
- You consent to having your information displayed on Amazon,
- You have Discord,
- You speak and read English fluently (it does not have to be your first language)
- You want to have fun developing a story that could change the lives of many.
AUDITONS, EXTENSIONS, AND DEADLINES
The current deadline forauditions on this project is the 8th of August. What I have done in the past is shortlisted various illustrators and extended this over a 4 day period. If this occurs again, I will give more rules to the shortlist final callback challenge.This is a final opportunity to challenge yourself against other illustrators, while having fun!
