Project Overview
hello everyone!
i'm currently looking for new voice actors for the next episode of my analog horror series, The Flesh Is Weak.
ABOUT ME:
I am in high school, so I juggle this project alongside school and extracurriculars, but I try my best to be punctual and to update those who work with me.
I'm pretty much a one-man-band as well; I do all of the writing, visuals, sound design, and editing for my series. I already have episodes of the series out. If you would like to see examples of my work, related to this series or not related to it, feel free to ask.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The series is 16+ due to several mature themes included in it, most of those revolving around family and religious trauma, and gore.
The Flesh is Weak is centered around 25-year-old Luke Marquis, son of the late charismatic preacher, Luther Marquis. Luke travels back to his small hometown in Timberwest County, MA, in hopes of overcoming his trauma. However, things take a dark turn when Luke's memories began to strain his mental fortitude. The rest of the episodes are seen from the perspectives of an investigative journalist, Camille Sanchez, and a convicted serial killer, Sam Attfield.
This is a mixed media project- most of the characters are drawn digitally, or on paper, and combined with real-life footage or images.
I take a lot of inspiration from southern and new england gothic stories, as well as old 80s films and retro survival horror.
EPISODE SUMMARY:
Luke returns back to his old childhood home, only to come across Mrs. Manson, an elderly woman who knows more about his return than he does. Luke also recalls several memories form his childhood and that of his brief time in prison, before he reconnects with an old friend- Reuben Graves.
The main setting of this episode is the lake.

Rosemary Marquis is a 32 year old southern belle with a firm, but kind voice. She is the mother of Luke Marquis,
She sounds similar to Katharine Ross from The Stepford Wives in terms of delivery and demeanor.

An elderly crone who has an esoteric manner of speaking.
She sounds somewhat like Dahlia Gillespie from the original Silent Hill.
A slight British/Scottish accent would be accepted for her.

He sounds a bit like Leon Kennedy or Chris Redfield.

Caine Adler is a German Jewish scientist-turned-evangelist. He is around 84 years old in the present day. Caine Adler has a methodical, clinical way of speaking. His voice/cadence is similar to that of Michael Kaufman from the original Silent Hill.
