Lux is a sly, slightly flirtatious and determined individual. Though they seem like a trickster at first glace, maybe even a bit self centered and very money driven, their actions show just how much he is the opposite of his first impression, and how he does truly care for others and even more apparent, the love he has for friends. Lux is also the owner and main manager of a tavern just far enough outside of any of the surrounding kingdoms, offering work to those in need of it, and having quite a bit of knowledge about things that may not be public information. Additionally for auditions, one of the test lines I will have you saying will be a running gag throughout the show that Lux continues to say any name under the sun except for Artie's actual name, just as a bit of context for that one specific line.

About the Role:

This will be a decent role, with Lux making an appearance quickly within the first few episodes, and be a reoccurring character. He is the final piece of the trio in the main story and will be a decent role, be prepared to be involved in quite a bit with the cast and apart of the show. If you are not up for a role that is a supporting protagonist, this role may not be for you.

Cecil is a young man (around 23-25 years old) who works in the castle as the King's right hand man, being in charge of most matters and organization. Think of him as a secretary in this world if you will. Cecil is Artie's best if not only friend due to them being around the same age. He is a very kind and caring individual who has been put at a cross roads and the most difficult situation in his life, unable to escape the cruelty of the king, and unwilling to leave to make sure Artie is safe.

About the Role:

Cecil will make multiple appearances throughout the show, being placed in the beginning middle and end pretty evenly. Though you will not be given a mountain of voice lines, this character will play a important role in story development and aid in Artie's character development as well.

Oliver is the older brother to Clementine, and lives with her and their grandmother keeping an eye on the farm while their dad is away for work. He can be friendly but id one of those characters that keeps to themselves and has the natural need to protect his family and keep them save.

This will be a short lived role. Once the episode is completed, the character has no current plans of being needed anymore voice wise. Please be aware of this when auditioning.

A more tougher sounding voice, protective, but kind. Not looking for the character to sound too old or too young, a very good in-between. Very willing to hear anything you've got for this character!

Millicent or Milli, is a sweet old lady that lives with her grandchildren Clementine and Oliver on a farm just outside the village of the Kingdom of Avantgarde. She lives a peaceful and calm life, watching her grandchildren grow and become independent and wise adults.

About the Role:

This will be a small role with little screen time, she will aid in the progression of story and then will not make any more speaking appearances afterwards

Voice Description:

A sweet little old lady voice, endearing and speaking from the heart. Is soft spoken but not so soft that she sounds to quiet. The more accurate and older sounding the better. Think of character's like Moana's grandma, Mrs. Foster from Foster's home for imaginary friends, ext.. I am looking for voices such as these. A very stereotypical grandmother if you will.

Artie's mom, Evelyn, is a gentle woman that enjoys life and finds joy in all living things. Gardening is something she loved throughout her entire life. The only thing she loved more than flowers was her son, Artie. And her husband, King Artemis.

About the Role:

This will be a small role with little screen time, but will aid in the development of story and development of world building. There will be a good amount of lines to flesh out the character of course, but this will not be till later into the series. Despite this, filling this role is still important. We may require a British accent. it is unclear yet should we have both of Artie's parent's have an accent or just 1 parent. (which would currently be his father)

As a story board artist, you will create the foundation of what the rest of the animation will look like, you are the first visualizer of each scene in making them visually appealing and interesting to the audience to keep their attention. You will be working along side the writers the most and sometimes pairing up with rough draft read through's of the script in order to piece the board together.

Despite using a lesser movement based animation style, some scenes will require dynamic poses and fluid movement. Though no lip sync will occur, a slow transition into fluid animation will happen on the rare occasion for more dramatic or special scenes.

As a clean up animator, you will be in charge of cleaning up messy lines in finale animation, or be asked to finish and fully line rough scenes. You must know how to correct lines and work with vector layers and be able to check over scenes multiple times to ensure the quality resembles that of a clean animation with un noticeable to no errors. I am not looking for studio quality, I am even cutting some corners myself, but I would like to try to avoid working with raster lines for most scenes, at least close ups, to keep the art quality as high as possible

As a colorist on the animation team, you will be adding the flat color and possible gradients, or markings for the characters on final clean scenes. You will have to make sure no gaps, or color spills over into other sections of the character, and that colors are correct to the character references.

• know how to properly apply color to where and which layers and how to keep textures (in our case, these would be freckles and other markings or patterns) clipped to the color to stay consistent. (best way I can describe this is, think of Chowder {a old Cartoon Network show}, and how the textures stayed consistent and moved with the character in the animation rather than jump around randomly)

As a script writer, you will create dialog for the show on existing concepts, describe scenes, and give explanations of emotion through text for the VA's to understand the emotion of the scene they need to act out. You may also be given rough drafts that I or Roo type, that need revisions. Your ideas will be welcomed and critiqued should they be offered to use if anyone hits a writers block. You must be able to spit and create multiple documents that include just scene explanations for the artists, just the voice lines/dialog for the actors, and one finalized document to read over the entire episode of. During meetings of episodes, you will be required to take notes on each summary of the episode, and are encouraged to ask questions to help you visualize the possible scene playing out.

You will be working in tandem also with GrayVA (the Voice of Artie) to assist in flow of dialog should you ever get stuck writing spoken lines

REQUIREMENTS:

• must have strong skills in grammar and writing 
• able to create interesting dialog between characters, and dialog that can be read out and makes sense in animation
• be able to correctly write a characters identity constantly 
• must be willing to digitally sign an NDA saying you won't leak or share the ideas with anyone outside of the cast that you provide for the show. NDA will also include that any ideas given and put into productions final draft are allowed to be used and credited properly

As a video editor, you will assist in making sure all the scenes, audio clips, and music is plugged into the correct spots and is included in what will be the final animation. You will have to look at scene names, music files, VA recordings, and be able to place them correctly. Should there be effects that animation is limited on--camera shakes, and visual effects that include motions or movements the animation team and I can not do-- you will add those to the final product. Should there be also voice effects on audio--echos, muffled voices, ect-- that will also be your job to add onto the final product.

Final product may be passed between SFX editors and video editors a few times before final product is approved to post.

• must be able to be use the free version of DaVinci Resolve as the main editing program, and or willing to learn the program

As an assistant sound editor you will help in the final editing of the episodes, adjusting the audio and sound effects provided by the Voice Actors and the SFX team in the show to make sure they fit just right in the final product. Your work will take place as the last step before they upload to YouTube.

For this role I request everyone who applies knows or learns how to use the free version of DaVinci Resolve (<linked to website), since this is the program I have access to so I can also work on editing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• must know how sound mixing and stable sound throughout the entire video works, sounds, and appears professional (Ex: one clip or section of the video can not be louder than the other. The music can't drown out the actors, ect...)
• must have experience in video editing and uploads to YouTube (preferably has been editing sound in videos for a year or longer)
• must contain at least 2 strong examples in your application
