A Brand New Day - Animatic Series
Project Overview
Hallo buddies! So this project, A Brand New Day, is an animatic series that will likely have a few more casting calls for when other characters are introduced at later times.
This series will have character deaths and a bit of gore.
This particular casting call is primarily lead and supporting roles, there'll be fewer minor and extra roles or just none at all. If it helps at all we'll likely message other people about doing extra or minor roles! I should also mention everyone should be pretty okay with swearing and/or hearing swears, there of course will be certain characters who don't swear as much or at all.
Concerning deadlines for those who get casted, please try and have your lines in before or on the day of the deadline so we can get to editing and such sooner than later. It'd just help us out rather than us having to message about lines.
This will be done primarily over Discord so it would help a lot if you had Discord so we can easily message. If needed we can message on here, but I don't check this site as much as I do Discord, so it's really a big convenience kind of thing there. My Discord is Nothing drawings#4745

I should say, right off the bat, she has a TON of lines, since she's also the narrator of the story. She also does swear a bit, don't mind her. Esther is a short-tempered person, she can be sarcastic and keeps to herself a lot. She doesn't make friends unless she feels she has a reason to be friends with said person. She could be described as bitter by her teammates, but she is a loyal friend when she trusts you, and is empathic on the inside. She is the main character and changes a lot throughout the story.
There’s no point in crying really, especially not right now. There’s nothing we can do so we should just accept it and see what we can do at the camp.
I sighed and rolled my eyes a bit, ‘Moronic’ I thought, ‘Just have someone else speak, we can meet this random douche later’. I paused when I realized how quiet everyone was, he apparently heard my sigh and just looked at me.

Charlene is a lead-supporting teenager character. She is a team captain and was put on a waitlist for the camp by force, so she is forced to be there. She tries to be as kind as possible and is bubbly and cheerful compared to Esther. She is one of the most optimistic members of the team and always makes sure everyone is okay.
Well, maybe we could all be friends. We’re on the same team, so we might as well be close right? Be there for each other and all.
Yeah, I was kinda stuck here from the very beginning, when you're put on the waiting list, you can't get out of it. Sure you get some training and warnings, but it isn't fair.. It's not fair!
Dane, are you alright? Evan, you’re such an asshole!

Dane is a lead character in the series and a part of Esther's team. He is described as a bit of an airhead who is very wholesome but not the smartest. At the beginning of the series, he is in an arranged marriage with someone who he really admires however they have very different personalities. He bottles up his emotions for himself and is dealing with a lot of negative feelings that he chooses to keep to himself. He could be described on the inside as being gloomy and depressive.

Ace is a lead-supporting character, he gets more important and gets more lines as the story goes on. He's actually the last year's remainder, he decided on coming back for his own reasons. He's a pretty chill guy, he's always happy to give some advice, but normally will say don't completely depend on him. He really just tries to be friendly to everyone and helpful when needed to people when needed.

You know, the first time I was at this camp, I was confused and scared, but I did my best and made it through. I have my reasons for coming back, so does Greyson, we actually almost had more than two remainders this year
Bravery is something you’ll need here, it can get you through some harsh things.

Greyson is more of a supporting character, who alike Ace, gets more important and more lines as the story goes on, and also like Ace, he's a remainder except this will be his third year while it's only Ace's second year. Greyson tends to keep to himself a lot, he doesn't really talk to anyone unless it's Ace or someone who works at the camp. He's quieter and will normally have shorter lines.
Well, an example was needed, it's as simple as that.
Don't be an idiot, you'll get caught trying to leave.
Ace you're one of the few people I tolerate at this camp, don't mess it up.

Evan is a lead-supporting character who is one of the people most against the main character. He's basically an asshole character who gets payback in the best way he possibly can whenever someone attacks him or his team. He doesn't care much for anyone unless their his friends or his girlfriend Jane.

Cotton is a supporting character, he works at the camp and is normally one of the main workers around the camp that everyone will see/talk to besides Belle. He's quieter and doesn't talk unless he has to or feels he needs to, he has a bit more emotion to his voice, unlike Greyson.

Belle is a supporting character and the main director of the camp itself. She's the one who pretty much runs everything. Belle is decently calm most of the time but is not afraid to raise her voice and tell someone off. She normally explains games and is the one who gives announcements and such.
What does this look like? Your average summer camp? Just go so you can find your cabin and meet your team. Get used to living with them. Welcome to Camp Rain Forward.
Alright listen up! Dinner is over, you all should have finished eating by now. There's a little bit of free time before the game, I'll see you then. Don't be late.

Jane is a supporting role character, the best possible way to describe her is a spoiled, annoying, valley girl. She'll complain all she can and she is Evan's girlfriend so she will be around him all she can when she doesn't have to be around her team or something.
My team is going to win because we have both remainders and well, me of course.

Mrs. Lawler is minor role character, she won't really show up much. She is a sweet and caring person, she absolutely loves helping people and she really hates the camp.

Everyone, listen up, you’re all actually going to, Camp Rain Forward. The bus has taken you to a boat that you’ll get on and it’ll take you there.Please calm down, you could get hurt if you don’t listen, please just get on the boat.

Arlo is a supporting character, he's a generally nice guy and he always tries to do his best to help out his team, always trying to find the best thing he can do for them. He tries his best to be involved and cares a lot for his teammates.
It’s probably going to be a good idea to work together, just to make sure we’re all okay and everything.

Cherry is a very hyperactive teenager with lots of energy. While she is peppy, she also is very confident in her abilities on the team leading her to become self-absorbed and egotistical. However, she just wants what is best for herself and will do anything to get that.
What are you two? Just some wusses? I wrote “Cherry” Because that’s my name, got it, wusses?
What is wrong with you?? Out of all the things you could've possibly done to fuck over this team! Sleep outside, I hope you freeze!

Iven is a very overprotective member of the team, always trying his best to never be stressed about his situation instead acting as courageous and confident as he can. If it helps he has a deeper voice.
I think we could all get along, you all seem at least mildly friendly.
And we thought we could trust you so do we call this even or do you have to go and kill someone else?

Nina is a quiet member of the team and can be described as a wallflower. She is caring, but a bit anti-social and tries to avoid communicating with her fellow teammates. She can be a bit untrusting when first meeting people and likes to take time for herself. She tries the best on her own to make things the best for her team
Oh, it’s probably the team with the remainders, I think we should go now, they know what they’re doing, so we should try to do what they do.
We never asked for you to hurt the team, we never asked for you to help in the first place.
Well, maybe once we're all out of this camp we could all hang out together, that'd be fun!

Finn, like Nina, is also quiet and timid around people but is more outgoing when pushed to a point. He will talk to you more if he wants to get to know you but he has to see potential in you first. If he doesn’t know you, he is almost completely silent and doesn't care enough to say much.
Oh uh, yeah, it really does suck here, I never really thought about it much, I guess I'm used to it I think, I don't really know.
Normally it takes a lot longer for me to get closer to people, but I'm glad I'm good friends with you guys!
Well, I'm glad we figured this out, but... Are we really going to trust him again?
