SYNOPSIS:
There are realms between the Afterlife. Most famously there exists Limbo, and there the two Overseers of Limbo. There since the dawn of time. That’s how the legends go, at least. The lesser of the two somehow managed to wipe themself off the map without a trace. Lola is new to Limbo. And like most people, has a natural instinct of curiosity. But how far down is she willing to go down this rabbit hole?
A Beginner's Guide is a series that aims to be a 2D animated musical, with it being loosely based off of the album A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO FAKING YOUR DEATH by Jhariah. Currently, only a pilot is to be created with these applications. Also note I will help in many departments of this project, i.e writing, art, animation, etc.
HOW TO AUDITION:
It's recommended to say the given lines at least two times. If a part has three lines given, please just say those three only. If a part has two, feel free to come up with a third one that might fit the character.
If auditioning for a non-acting role, please submit your auditions to me via Discord. My user is @ShadowWhenThey. This mostly applies to art related auditions; writing can be done on site or through Discord.
Deadline is not strict, must be at least 14/15 years old for this project.

Hello!! I will be closing this project next week in order to focus getting a project out for artists. It will just be wave 2! In the meantime, voice actors and writers, please make sure if I asked you for a callback it's done. It's my fault for not giving out a strict deadline, but preferably mid-April. Please reach out if you have concerns about that deadline, I'm happy to accomodate!

Mehmet is the Jester in Limbo! And the target of his performance partner, Apollyon’s, dream. A prophecy long ago stated that he’ll be the standing performer out of the two of them. He’s happy, joyful, and very outgoing.

Lead
Apollyon is the Clown in Limbo! And performs with The Jester, the guy he fell way too hard for. He envies him, greatly, and hates how he’s falling in love with him. He’s not supposed to survive anyway, the prophecy says so. So out of anger one night he murders his performance partner. Yeah, not a good move. So he basically fakes his own death and takes the guys place. Yeah he’s not okay.

Lola is a recently dead person who ended up in Limbo. Unbeknownst to her, she’s part of an age old prophecy. Aka being matchmaker with the most insufferable guys ever, and ones double dead apparently. Snarky, sassy, but defeated.

Supporting Character
A local of Limbo that hangs around. He died at age 25 and just spends his afterlife chilling out. He died on October 30th, 1961, being hit by a car on his way to the store. A heavy smoker, he’s an overall easy guy to get with. If you aren’t able to do a Wales accent, a British accent is allowed.

Supporting Character
A local of Limbo who tends to the library. Having died around 45 years old, she’s determined to host every catalog of book to have ever existed. A daring task, but so far, she’s been successful at it. She died on March 19th, 1844, being crushed and killed in a factory accident.

The embodiment of death and decay. He is typically exhausted and has little free time, and if he does have any, he usually has to split his consciousness just to relax, so even then he’s not really there.
