[FANDUB] Playstation 4 Korean Animated Commercial
Project Overview
INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone! My name is Jason, and I run and own a very small YouTube channel, Pixyl Studios! If you look at the channel, you'll see that I have only done "Let's Play" videos, but I've also been wanting to expand on the content I deliver to my audience. I actually put "Studios" in the channel name on purpose so that the name would still fit the channel if I ever choose to expand on my content in the future.
WHAT DO I PLAN ON DOING?
I will be directing a fandub of a funny Playstation 4 animated commercial. You can watch the commercial with English subtitles above for reference. In a perfect world, the fandub will be cast, recorded, edited, and uploaded on the Pixyl Studios channel in 1 month.
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Well, its not a complicated answer. I happened to see this commercial on YouTube, thought it was hilarious, and thought "hey! This would be great for the channel!" I have no experience directing and creating a fandub, so as this is a much smaller project this would be fantastic experience for me! As for my experience for voice acting on CCC, I've been doing it for just about 2 years now. (Also I figured this would be something productive I could work on during this whole quarantine thing)
WHAT AM I LOOKING FOR?
• Voice actors with a good quality mic, with no background sounds (yes, I understand that you probably can't find a casting call on this website that doesn't have this requirement in the description, so you probably already assumed this, but I figured I'd hop on this meme of a bandwagon put it here anyways.)
• Voice actors who can talk fast and clearly. Keep in mind that this is an advertisement. They're trying to rush the speech here on purpose. Also, it makes it funnier!
• Voice actors who can deliver on time. I'm trying to keep with the 1 month deadline to keep from getting this project stale.
OTHER NOTES
I understand that the English subtitles are not 100% accurate. If you are fluent in Korean and can translate the video into an English script, that would be very much appreciated! However, if there isn't anyone who can by the deadline, then I will just have to go with the subtitles in the video.
We will be using a discord server to organize this project, so please have an account. As this is just a one-off project, you are welcome to leave the server after the finished video has been uploaded to the Pixyl Studios channel.
If you want a little bit of direction, add filler words such as "erm," "uh," or "ah," in the delivery for a character's nervous lines, and stammer too. You can find examples of this in the commercial!
For those who are cast, I would like to do live direction when we officially start recording, meaning it will be you and me in a discord call live when you record, so I can give you voice direction.
