Project Overview

WELCOME TO THE PROJECT

We are small team of country bumpkins turned game devs trying to capture the light and whimsy of Wales.

While we have a share 10+ years experience in the games industry - This is our first original Visual Novel project! "Wolfsbane" is currently in production for our Demo and Kickstarter later this year.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 18+ years of age

  • Comfortable with themes of murder, poisoning, threat of loss of pregnancy, swearing and adult content

    • (As a caveat, our base-game does not contain explicit content, but we intend to offer a DLC that does. This will not be graphic but may require some actors to perform in more sensual scenes with lines that are more adult than the base-game)

  • Professional quality set-up

  • Willing to sign an NDA and Contract

  • Payments via PayPal

  • Wolfsbane has a diverse but primarily Welsh cast! This is detailed further in our character-specific descriptions

ABOUT THE GAME

Wolfsbane is a dark-fantasy visual novel set in a realm based on historic Wales. 

It follows our stoic, strong and stocky heroine - Blaidd, who is the most competent knight of the Henmawr Fangs, a struggling kingdom to the North.

It is Blaidd's sworn duty to protect the Princess who is carrying the late King's child, cut down before his time in a battle with the neighbouring kingdom of Aurllys.

To avoid all out war Aurllys have sent their best Assassin known as "Wen's Blade" to finish the job, put an end to the line of succession and destabilise the Henmawr Fangs once and for all.

But all is not well within the kingdom; the Princess' health is frail, distrust is brewing and without a true leader on the throne it's clear their enemies may already be within the walls.

Can the strongest knight defeat the most fearsome assassin?

Or will blood be spilled by another's hand?

    Thank you so much to everyone who has auditioned, you've all been amazing and we are overjoyed at the overwhelming numbers of auditions!

    The project team will now be reviewing submissions and will contact directly those who we would like to offer the roles to. We are hoping to complete casting by the end of June.

    Due to the high volume of submissions for Cadwyn, we will be contacting shortlisted entries for a second audition - this will be compensated for by paying those who wish to submit a second audition £20.

Blaidd is short tempered, young and very talented. She is hard-working and will lay down to her life to protect the Princess. 


What are we looking for? 

  • A Welsh accent, as our leading lady Blaidd sets the tone for the game and all other characters
  • An adult voice fitting of the Clan's strongest fighter
  • The ability to convey a range of emotions - everything from soft romance scenes to the heat of battle
  • She isn't your typical knight - known more for head-butting than for being a paragon of chivalry. But although her tone is common she is still part of the clans nobility

Known to his enemies as "Wen's Blade" & killer love interest (Get it? He’s an Assassin…)

Cadwyn hails from a region to the south known for their finery and trade. He's smooth, sensual and a stone-cold killer. His performance shouldn't read as sleazy, but he will do what is needed to get the job done. He's the best assassin for a reason, after all...

What are we looking for?

  • With regards to Cadwyn we are prioritising casting someone who can seductively call the female lead "Sweetheart" and have it sound believable.
  • We have no set preference for accent but are leaning towards British
  • A delightful adult male voice with a range from seductive to sincere

A Doctor & lover of science, formerly Aurllysian

Talesin is the castle's doctor and while they have good bed-side manner, they also have a sharp tongue. They have defected from their home region to further pursue their work as a healer, although they focus on science they can also be warm and kind when needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Talesin is a nonbinary character using they/them pronouns, we would like to make sure this is reflected in their casting
  • As they are from the same region as Cadwyn we would like their accents to match. We have no set-preference for this but this may be considered when making a final decision.

The Big. burly king of the hill. Landric is in his late 40's / early 50's - great DILF potential. Currently he is acting as King Regent as his nephew (the king) died. He values strength but also family, and will do what it takes to keep his people safe.

What are we looking for?

  • Ideally as he is from the Fangs through and through we would like him to have a Welsh accent.
  • He should have a booming voice like a natural leader but should also be able to sound comforting when speaking alone with someone.
  • He is charismatic and so should speak with confidence.

The sweetest, softest, kind-hearted soul on the whole Earth, Nesta is someone you would die for. (And because she is the Princess you very well may have to die for her...)

She hails from a different country and was wedded to the previous king to strengthen ties, but the two were madly in love. For the duration of the game she is pregnant and her imminent birth/potential death is a consistent plot-point.

What are we looking for?
  • Nesta is a black character, we would like this to be reflected in her casting
  • An adult well-spoken woman, a preference for a british accent.
  • Someone who sounds loving, devoted, and wholeheartedly good - but is still royalty. She is respectable and well educated and can be firm when needs be.
