My name is Fran and I'm a 37yo late-bloomer trans woman (genderfluid fem-nb) who has been obsessed with audio drama since childhood. I used to listen to replayed broadcasts of 1930-60s radio plays when I was a child, that slid into audiobooks as I grew older, and now has become a rampant obsession with AD podcasts. I'm at the point where new good AD's can't come out as quickly as I listen to them, maybe I have a problem? nah.

Voice acting for an audio-drama has been a bucket list thing of mine for about 10 years now, but the hurdles of learning who I am as a woman and how I want to sound have held me back from pursuing this dream for so long. Regardless, I do acknowledge the masculinity present in my voice, but I have decided I DO love my voice as it is and I will OWN it in its natural form even as the rest of me changes. I may never fill the most feminine of roles in my VA pursuits, but I will at least be authentic to me and my experience as I make the attempt. <3
